Very good game, idiotic "reviews" on gog

It is yet another example of a situation where gog "reviews" are utterly useless trollzone. 99% of the comments do not regard the game at all, but are useless opinions about the publishers posted by manchilds that don't get that *NO* *ONE *CARES* what they "think" (and yes, I am not a huge fan of Stardock too, but it is totally irrelevant!). Or, how they hate when game is split between 40 DLCs (also no one cares, and also - don't like it, don't buy, I just grab those games at discount for whole series. Patience pays off). --- Game itself is one of the best - if not the best - 4X space one. It takes good inspirations from Civilization series, of course, but got enough of elements (coming from the long history of the series) to make it unique and NOT feel like a rip off taken to space, but as a thing that sensibly takes notice of good things elsewhere, then builds upon it.

EVERYTHING MOVES!!

The first thing I do is disable all animations, these types of games have lots of details and if you are going to play a game with lots of details it is nice to be able to take in the information being presented. Well I loaded the game, and a huge space fleet started flying towards me, ok for an in store demo that would be pretty cool, though I then clicked on options to disable optional animations and the whole time I am distracted by the flying fleet around the option window, disabled everything I could find and restarted the game. Launched it and fleet is still there, ok let me start so I decided to play a custom race and the fleet is still there, flying around all the fun information that will let me select the perfect fleet. I finally give up, select one of the standard races (not sure which one it was just trying to stop the animation/movie), then I click on research and there are no 2 different animated elements on the screen! I just bought this game and I am about to uninstall it, it is completely unplayable. Maybe if this was an arcade game that would be fun, though this is a detailed strategy game with a lot of moving parts, it does not need eye candy, it needs clearer screens with well organized information and controls. I am so glad I have GC1, a much, much better game, well actually it is a playable game.

Got an email offering this game on Flash sale for 70% off, get to the store page and it's listed for $114 Canadian. What the actual f***?

Ridiculous game. Tried playing the first campaign and got all the technologies and still could not beat the computer on Beginner. I will NEVER play this game again. What a horrible experience. All you do is click in this game, there is no strategy, no story, no FUN!

Got a ''dicount'' notice from GOG, AU $145.20 down to AU $43.59. It seemed like kind of costly before the discount, but Epic games was still cheaper, prior to the sale, and with a similar discount. I had never heard of Epic games before, I will be looking at them more now though...
