It does work... but.
To get it to work I had to uninstall and then reinstall the game. After which the expansion worked perfectly. There seems to be a bug where simply buying it doesn't unlock it in the game.

Just for the lovers of the endless mode
If you do not want to buy the season pass probably this DLC is the least worthy of the three DLC. This is a new map type on the endless mode. There is not more to add. If you truly don’t love this mode then avoid this DLC.

Great DLC ...
... bought it with the Season Pass. I love this Game, this DLC is a nice additive to it. For all who dont know how to install: https://cloud.ferox.cc/s/542aaKyMqPZCfBG (Screenshot) Afterwards the game is on newest patch level AND you have bought the DLC (Season Pass or single) there should be a install button @ the Main Game to activate the DLC

Brilliant DLC!!
DLC which addresses complex themes such as discord because of hierarchical relations (colonialism?) or differences of vision, forgiveness versus caution,... I am interested in collapsology, this game is a gold mine of intelligence and thoughts related to this theme. I loved the games I played despite the fact that I would have liked them to last longer ^^
