One of top 3 best games on PC
I've spent more hours playing this title than any other game out there. I remember i traveled half the country for a boxed copy of this pearl back in the 1999. I am amazed that there is no remake of Fragile Allegiance.It would be a bestseller, best strategy game of the decade if done right ( just include everything from the original and make it more complex :D )

Childhood at work.
The only reason why I have to give this four stars is because of the only playable faction is Tetracorp. Other than that it's an extremely hard game that takes a very steep learning curve but yet is extremely satisfying once you get the hang of things Like I said in the title this was my game growing up and I remember buying this game when it first came out. It's an excellent game nonetheless. This is one of those classic games you won't be disappointed in purchasing. This game takes your time and patience. And it will give you a very good experience.

This game had a few huge issues which totally ruined it for me. The biggest of these is the very limited range of both ships and missiles. This requires one to be rather close to the targeted planet to have any real effect. Worse, it's not enough to have your ships close, you have to have a refueling station there to go farther (or your ships are lost). This means you must colonize everything close by, and wait for the structures to be built. Or, if there's too large of a gap between asteroids, you can't effectively reach across at all. The game allows you to buy tech advances, why not extended range fuel cells? This would have been a huge plus. Worse, the game is completely unbalanced. Case in point - agents are far too powerful. One agent can take out an entire heavily developed planet with relative ease. What that means is this - you can spend much time and money, develop missiles and ships to conquer, only to have mixed results, or you can hire one agent and have it done quickly. Further, the aliens have pretty much no constraints on their mineral use or money expenditures. I fought one race with all of 4 planets - these would have provided very limited minerals and revenue - but they were able to produce almost unlimited shipsmissiles, as well as hire numerous agents to kill my planets. As a result, I found this game to be far less about development and combat and far more about hiring agents and rolling the dice. For me, that meant one huge disappointment.
