Fallout: New Vegas Ultimate Edition

This First-Person Shooter-RPG is fun...damentally broken; I've never seen so damn many bugs in a 3D game before! Despite that, most aren't game-breaking, and I did enjoy it quite a bit; it eschews Fallout's usual dire atmosphere, and the writers decided to just have some fun with it. The story's alright, but the best part is just breaking the earth in your hands, so to speak, whether that be combat, conversation, or just exploration. The RPG elements seem to be streamlined just a bit; it's totally reasonable to have a lot of high-level skills by the end, and perks come around a lot more frequently. It has a neat Wild West atmosphere to it, too. that I wasn't expecting. So, despite being extremely buggy, it's definitely worth a play; some of the laughs you'll have will even be intended by the developers!

ultimate version is worth every penny

played it a few years ago and it hooked me into playind 2-3 playthroughs in a row to see how my actions influence the game. still one of my favorites.

So glad to see a classic finally added to GOG. I already own it on Steam, but I'm picking it up again just to show my support!

The scope of the world, combined with the life and depth of said world and its characters, makes this game a masterpiece of western RPG's if not one of the best games ever made. Although it had a rocky launch, riddled with bugs, this could be attributed more to the engine the game was built upon. At this point with the game running great and all the bugs patched out, that old con shouldn't be applied. It runs good even on my weakest machine, and that is only referring to the visual fidelity. The story, the world, the factions, the characters, and your decisions with how to deal with each is what makes this game stand out, and that's not even going into the DLC(which has some of the best add-on's of the decade). If you enjoyed the world of Fallout 3 but found the story and characters to be lacking, then look no further than New Vegas. It is a MUST PLAY for RPG fans, Fallout fans, post-apocalyptic genre freaks, or just any gamer that enjoys a fun game with an amazing story and a compelling world. I would have gladly paid full price for this DRM free version. If you haven't tried it yet, DO SO! You will not regret it.
