Fallout 2

Before we start I still got the interplay copy of this game. if you own a mac you can still get the same mac version (using wineskin) on portingkit. For more information just look at my review of Fallout 1 here I will write some difference: - Finally you can trade with your teammates without stealing from them, and you can give them weapons and armors. - This game is huge compared to Fallout 1... the real problem is that the story is the same of the first game, without the time limit (so it is a boring main story)... But the secondary quests are awesome. - The "Hokuto no Ken" world is like the 2 season of that anime... Much less post-atomic, much more joke. There are a bunch of really funny easter eggs. - On this game you can use a car! Woah! - You can now move NPC and your companions. Like you can see there are many good things in Fallout 2 (many bad technical things of Fallout 1 are fixed) but the main bad story is something for me. Still, if you like the first fallout, buy and play this one, you will not regret it. Si è persa l'atmosfera originale... ma ci sono anche delle battute divertenti. - C'è una macchina LOL. - Se il vostro personaggio rimane bloccato potete chiedere ai vostri compagni e agli npc di muoversi dai coglioni. Nostalgia glasses plagues this game. It's definitely not worth the 5 star ratings it is getting. After playing Fallout 1, this one is a huge let down. Everything is just a lot more tedious in this one. For example fights take forever, and speeding up the enemy turns in the options barely does anything, traversing the map has you staring at your screen doing nothing for a good 5 minutes. Seriously. It's basically a 5 hour game stretched out into a 20 hour one. That's the state of Fallout 2. Doing a lot of things over and over and over because of how unbalanced things are. I really wanted to like this game, it's one of those games I wanted to play since childhood, but it has some seriously bad problems that make it unplayable.

I'll just cut right to it. Writing is top teir, I've never been so enthralled with the lore and characters and quests than I have in any other game. My gripe is the pain the gameplay entails. From the repetitive skill checks to the convaluted loot and inventory system, to the overall layout of the sprites i.e. having to look pixel by pixel to pick things off the ground for quests and overall decent loot (by which I only knew they were there by looking online) and finally the combat mechanics. The fact that to progress decently in this game, you would have needed to play it before to know where to go, what to say, how to build you character. I just found it pointlessly time consuming with having to restart time after time till I got it right (yet I still found myself compelled to give it another shot). I loved the journey, but by the end I was just wishing it put a bullet in my head and I have a strong feeling I will not be revisiting this broken masterpiece in the foreseeable future.

How do I download to mac? it only has availability for windows even though everyone has said its compatible

As per the top-rated comment I downloaded this game thinking I would be an OSX version to install. THIS IS NOT THE CASE. If your running a mac you cannot download this game from GOG. I am confused as he was able to...
