The game can be tough to get into during your first playthrough, especially if you are not familiar with the character creation and how old CRPGs usually play. On top of that, the player UI has not really aged well at all and it is frustratingly slow to execute actions and move around in the game. All of this can make a player experince some frustration and not finish the game at all. I would recommend a first playthrough on the easier settings to make the transition from modern RPGs easier to handle. With that said, the story, atmosphere, and worldbuilding is really cool. The pacing of the latter half of the game is really well done and the unraveling of the final intruige is great. All in all the game shows its age but the story, characters and combat in the later half makes for a decent experience overall! Probably more so if you already really enjoy CRPGs.

love this game....but can anyone tell me the diferences betwenn classic and whats now on GOG?

Duration: 14.5 hours  I once suspected it was my own problem until I watched someone else's process video. Why do I feel like I'm not playing the same game as others?   [Other people's pictures: clear and straightforward/Mosaic but the map is bright and clear.  My picture: It's all a mess/You can't see your hand in front of your face. Even with the maximum brightness, it's still hard to see clearly. You can only press your face against the screen. ]   [The gameplay of others: Tasks are completed smoothly and the plot unfolds gradually.  My gameplay: I completed this task. Why didn't the NPC trigger the next step? Why are others' tasks going so smoothly, but mine can't be carried out? And why do others have so many weapons? ]    Am I playing the same game as others?? It's very interesting. It's just that I'm too unaccustomed to eating fine bran. If I could add something like the ALT key in Diablo to display interactive items or the names of NPCS, I wouldn't give up. Otherwise, my eyes would go blind. (Crack)

This game created the whole new world of rpgs. True masterpiece

Forget Wasteland, this is where the post-apocalyptic RPG sub-genre really started, and IMO this game is a masterpiece which hasn't been exceeded. True that the sequel refined and expanded upon this game in places, but really I still prefer the first for it's tighter focus and more overbearing, sombre atmosphere
