Amazing game! (For the right person)
It's a pretty awesome factory builder with some action elements. The gameplay is pretty smooth, and it's fun automating just about everything in the game. BUT! I can definitely tell this appeals to a certain group of people. It's way more focused on building things and resource management than action and adventure. Still good though.

700 hours and counting (on steam)
I think it is most telling about my opinion of this game that after 700 hours I'm still coming back for more. It's for specific group of people but it is very, very good. Planning your production is very satisfying and there is always something to tweak a little bit better. The game also has huge modding scene, endorsed by the developers, as they made it very easy to download and install the mods.

Browser game multiplayer DRM server lock
-Needs Authentication through non-gog website for basic features (multiplay & update parity). -Puzzle style production ramping game with alien resistance (difficulty) scaling to the ramping. -Point of game is to produce the next most grindy thing you need to produce in order to rinse and repeat. -Has undergone successive changes to make progression more tedious, progression still has no 'climactic moment' and game has little story behind it to give it any feeling. -Updates seem to have slowed to a crawl and pricing has at least at my end doubled to that of a fairly recent AAA game without any real 'polish'. Monotous, superfluous progression that gates the one redeeming feature it might have, multiplayer.

It's called Cracktorio for a reason
A few disgruntled people initially said, and while true a bit, is that need to register with Wube's website. This has been resolved for Steam users and I was against this at first, but, but, but..... That annoyance was a small hindrance to thousands of hours of enjoyment. Registration I think is required to download mods through their mod portal but there are ways can bypass that as people have played the game, with and without mods, without purchasing it. That said, purchase it if enjoy. I have the game on another platform (S***m) and can also download directly from Wube's website a standalone version. The mods are beyond amazing and I've launched 20,000 rockets or so, lost count. I've never truly finished the base game as mods disable achievements (and switched to them early on), but still enjoy the heck out of this game, truly is beyond amazing. The development team behind it is simply amazing for creating such a great game with a low price tag that will easily give the "average" player hundreds of hours of enjoyment. Try the demo and see for yourself. Most people are left wanting more. Disclaimer: I never played the demo.
