All I can say without spoiling things for you readers is that it’s a game worth experiencing. Despite the myriad of grammatical errors, this is an incredibly smart story that will catch players off guard with its inventive twists. It’s also one hell of a fun mix between an RPG and a rhythm game.

Everhood is a fantastic freshman effort that brings unexpected and refreshing spins to both the RPG and rhythm genre. The creative combat system and repeat-friendly soundtrack are definitely strong points but the thought-provoking story elevates the unusual adventure to excellent heights.

Really good, but has some flaws
The game itself is really good and worth playing, but the bonus bits that are troll-y in nature are unquestionably exagerated past both the point they make and fun. Those are optional however and don't affect the main game itself. The story is unique and told decently well, and the mechanics are fun and have variances. The music is also fantastic and worth listening to on its own.

UNABLE TO DOWNLOAD MY PURCHASE
I speciffically refunded my purchase on steam as soon as I saw this game on sale here, because I wanted to have it DRM-free. However, when I went to my game library to download it, the offline installer page was blank, leaving me unable to play my purchased game! And judging by few comments on forums, the other buyers suffer the same issue! This is a new low for GOG. Now I will think twice before buying another game here, given the sheer incompetency show here. I strongly suggest you do the same in the future.
