Not the besat not the worst
The game does like to "cheat" in the HO minigames - some of the items are extremely hard to detect due to color, scale, and placement.

Annoying garbage search
It's a decent game and I enjoy it, but the game force you to click through billions of items all the time which is kind of annoying. It was fun the first three times, but then it was a little bit too much. And the game does not make me want to explore and search and trial and error. I just press that hint button all the time because I don't care. Usually I never use hints and walkthrough until I really get stuck for a long time, but now I just want to see the continuation of the story, and that's why I give this game 4/5 stars because it's enjoyable and kind of unique in a way. The graphics are fun, but I prefer the more classic detective style where you actually can see your character walking around etc...

It's fine for what it is
I'll play Hidden Object Games on rare occasions when I'm looking to turn off my brain further and rouge-likes require too much attention. Voice acting is campy and the story is shallow, standard fare for HOGs. Art is fine, nothing life-changing. The only complaint I have is that a lot of the hidden object portions tend to really hide a lot of the items, you'll be doing a lot of pixel hunting on those parts. I think that's more of a problem with the genre than anything specific to this game. Manage your expectations and you'll find something to burn a few hours of your time.

Good HOG allowing for movement
This is a good HOG with a good story which continues on for a trilogy. Being an older game it is unfortunately let down by movement around the map. Whilst there is a map showing what actions are available where, it becomes overly cumbersome to move from one end of the map to the other continually. There is no fast transport through the ingame map as is more prevalent with modern games. The only other issue I encountered was the occasional difficulty clicking HOG items as the click detection boxes appear to be either out of sync or very fussy. This was only a minor issue with maybe two or three items and easily ignored. Also being an older game there are no achievments in this first game of the trilogy. Again not a deal breaker, but would have been nice - especially for the completionists.
