What I liked about this game are: + You can make different choices which will change the story for you + Cool ships and ways to customize them + Interesting story lines to explore + Simple controls and cute 2D graphics + Possibility of creating mods What could be better: - Getting stuck somewhere in a story line because you made a different choice or missed a specific time frame to make it and being unable to get closure for a quest line you've been interested in - More alternative choices and story lines For a free game though, it's pure gold. Overall, I've enjoyed the experience a lot and I'm certain this is a game I would play again and again.

5+ star game!! Tradewinds fans rejoice. This is the best trade management game Ive played. The story is there and doesnt require your playing, just trade and build your fleet. Lots of great writing and puns "i was flying between mars and earth when i seen a strange convertable car drifting thru space?!" Take on the challenge of bounty hunting and be rewarded greatly, with high risk. Trade with large fleets of haulers and beware the pirate skurdge. The artwork and overall interface all work amzingly, and are intuitive. PLUS ITS FREEE!!!!!!

And you can't beat the price!... Of course, this being an open source project, it is an eternal WIP, but on the other hand it will always be getting richer as people add content. Currently some things are hinted at but not yet fully implemented, but you already get many hours of a well-constructed main campaign, and of course the possibility to do your own thing, be a merchant, a miner, a pirate, a bounty hunter, roaming inside a huge and quite well-filled galaxy. In short, if you liked Elite-likes, this is a must have.

Almost like Escape Velocity, need some racing & gambling at the spaceports. Graphics are cool, gameplay has good dynamics. And the jumpdrive sound needs more impact.. by far, it's ok. ah, looking foward for game extensions or plugins in the future. or game tools to create them.

Gameplay is nice, but control of your escorts (ships that you own, but not your flagship) is crude. Outfitter menu is a disaster: installed / storage / cargo. Needs a total redesign. 10.12 -> 10.14 Updated game erases plug-in directory. This directory is not part of the installation. It is manually created by modders (ie you), and by all rights should not be deleted during an update: but it *will* be deleted. I tried posting this issue, but the developer (being incredibly short sighted) hosts the game on github (owned by microsoft) which uses broken captchas. If I have to jump through hoops to post a bug report, -1 star.
