its ok
The game gave me a lot of problems to make it run and even then the camera was a constant pain, the map did not work so i had to gues were i was going. If the game works it has potential, but is not for me neither my pc.

MY game of the year
I'm soooo late trying out this game, but decided to grab it to see if my 4090 could overpower the flaws. I'm so glad I did because despite being a little clunky it looks and runs amazing at max settings and the gameplay reminds me of Skyrim + Defiance in setting and theme, and a little Elden Ring combat but not super overpowered. There's still mobs that can one or two shot you if you wander into the wrong area and are a brand new character though. I'm having a blast just casually doing quests and roaming and fighting small mobs and looting every little thing I find. The pacing of the game is perfect for me and there's soooo many paths to playing the game and where to put all your attribute and skill points into I can see myself enjoy several playthroughs. This will be a game I always revisit and I'm SO glad it came to GoG. I think I may have waited just the right amount of time to play this game. No it's not perfect in every way like a AAA but I guarantee you I'm enjoying it more than some AAA games as of late and catching it on the black friday sale made it a steal. Anyways, if you've got a solid card, and it's on sale, snag it!

I'm happy with it thus far.
2 1/2 to 3 hours played, I think, and I am not having the performance problems others report. I play at 3440x1440 and max settings with a RTX 3090 and a Ryzen 5800X. I don't monitor fps, but there have not been noticeable drops. I almost took pass due to reviews of the FOV as well as checking it out on some streams. The FOV zoom does not bother me, though. I don't doubt it's a problem for some, and while a FOV slider would be nice, the game's not making me sick. I sit just over an arm's length from the 34" monitor. Otherwise, the cosmetics, mechanics, voice acting and story are consistent with expectations based on the first Elex. I agree with those reviewers who find the combat with monsters more forgiving early on. I'm playing on Hard, which is the second highest difficulty. The economy is about the same. Three stars out of five is good.

Everything is great about it, the performance, the combat, the world, it's everything I expected from a sequel from Elex, and everything I expected from Piranha Bytes, which is a good thing. The storyline is a great sequel to the first game. The exploration is a lot of fun, also enjoyable to see the changes of some areas from the first game. The combat is a lot of fun. Flying with upgraded jet pack is "weeeeeeeee"!!!

Sadly the developers didn't update elex 2 very much except visually over the first game. Basically the same game just better looking, and slightly more boring. The game mechanics and camera are the same, all the problems of the first game just carried over into this one, and really none of the old problems fixed. Like the first game, its a good game but not great. For those who play these games, any good game is a must have to grab on sale and play but i suggest playing Elex 1 first and decide if you like it. If you do or don't, just remember Elex 2 is exactly the same and you will like or dislike it exactly as much as you did with the first game. The only thing i think they upgraded and did better in the 2nd was adding a couple features to your jetpack to let you fly and travel much faster, which was nice.
