Another Perspective

The rating of 5 stars is specifically to counterbalance the one star "This should be free!" reviews others left. Do you guys know how many devs and publishers don't release this stuff at all? I'd rather it be available for $10 than not at all and have the price of the base game jacked up by that amount like happens all the time when greedy publishers are involved. These are nice things to gave, and a good way to show support for the devs. The alternative, which occurs constantly nowadays even on GOG, is that soundtracks, making-of videos and other bonus goodies never see the light of day at all. Which would you prefer? I'm happier with the option to buy them, myself. It's not like it's in-game content that could have been cut to sell as DLC or cut and distributed as a preorder bonus. Now THAT would have pissed me off. If you're concerned about greedy publishers and devs, they do exist, and in great numbers, but Piranha Bytes is the wrong target here.

5 star rating. Reasoning - Thanks for not making ELEX microtransaction hell. Thanks for not having 30 versions of deluxe, special, executive, gold/silver/bronze editions, DLC story chunks sold seperately, season passes, console exclusive items etc. If you like the game, buy this. I whole heartedly support developers that don't try and $0.25 me to death. Thanks

I know some people think this should be free content, but I like this game, formula, and history behind this product. I support the developers and appreciate that they put out something extra that interests me. Granted, they absolutely could have included it with the base game, but they could have also absolutely provided a system of transactions that for only $0.50 cents you can get a random drop in-game, or for $4.00 you could be granted at least two legendary items. You could buy the platinum version for $70 dollars and open up 4 new side quests, or buy the season pass to get all new content before peasants who buy the vanilla version get it. I for one am more than happy to spend my money on a game like this versus choosing to shovel it into the AAA industry. If you don't want to, then to each their own. The game industry is a capitalism, and we all vote with our dollar.

Shouldn’t require the full game

as someone who owns the game on another system (console) I would love the option(as well as other owners of this game on consoles) to be able to purchase this separately to have the soundtrack and other extras. It seems like owning the game shouldn’t be a requirement for the soundtrack and artwork PDFS. Is there any way GOG can look at this and change their stance on that? If not, that’s ok I suppose but there doesn’t seem to be any other way to get these extras for console owners without having to come on here and purchase the game just to get the extras.

No it should not be free because ...

... "Deluxe editions" used to be that way: You got the full game and, if you wanted to add a little extra, you were awarded goodies that you could have passed without missing something. Sure It was at a time it was not so easy to google "XXX ost" but that makes it even more relevant now. It's more like giving a tip than actually adding content to your game (well not a tip like in the US, where tips are almost forced upon the client but more like in France where it's actually to reward the employee for an exceptional service.)
