Great Game, Terrible Story.

I loved the previous maps made in legends but this one is seriously bad, the huge map, the ammount of fights and territories is quite fun, but the story is awfully bad! It's just the US elections in a medieval setting (utterly boring), the game has a timer running which i reached before even contacting either side and the game ended out of the blue for me, which makes me doubt if i'll start over without some cheating involved to reach the point i was at november 8th. If they release new maps for this game of the same style, just with better stories (My god road to iron forest was a masterpiece) ill change (if possible) my rating to 5 stars.

Is there nowhere left to hide?

The Legend of Eisenwald is one of my favorite games. This game however, does a disservice to the spirit of Eisenwald. This stand-alone DLC is just a single map scenario, where the devs use the toolset to crack a political joke about the 2016 election. This may have been relevant during the election season, but a year and a half later I've had my fill of Trump and Clinton. It's advertised as a sandbox mode in Eisenwald, but I just sandboxed for 25 hours on the Iron Forest map by avoiding the main quest. If you need a fantasy story inspired by CNN, this is a must-have. My fear is that folks will buy this as a cheaper alternative to Legend of Eisenwald, which would be a huge mistake. The great lore and storytelling is an integral part of this game, and when you sacrifice that for a political joke, the game becomes a mediocre tbs at best.

Not Worth It

Felt like a really cheap parody of the US elections. The quests and dialogue lacked the humor and immersion of the main game, and the overall experience felt very rushed. Also, I have no idea how the frame rate manages to be so bad when the main game runs quite well. Really a disappointment compared to the main game, and the Iron Forest DLC

Medieval strategy.. with a twist

The gameplay and the low fantasy medieval setting has all the qualities that made me love Legends of Eisenwald But this stand-alone spin off is also an absolutely hilarious rewriting of the recent american elections. Here it's the Duc that died heirless, and the barons have to elect his successor. The 2 main contestant are a man named.. Dieter Horn , and a woman, Hanna Eisig , and you have to pick a side and help it win. The extravagant rumors about both candidates are offen medieval views of the actual campain events , and it's amasing how medieval it does feel indeed ! The game is still great even if you don't want to pay attention to that double entendre, but much funnier this way

Copie conforme du gameplay du précédent

Ce jeu est comme le précédent, rien de plus, rien de moins, au niveau du gameplay, des classes disponibles, des unités et promotions d'unités disponibles ... Je me serais attendu à un peu plus de nouveautés concernant une extention, mais non ... J'ai l'impression qu'on nous fait jouer une seule carte mais on repart de zéro. Et c'est méchament dure, sachant qu'on part de rien ! Donc j'ai galéré à augmenter mes troupes, à tourner sur toutes la cartes à la recherche des ennemis les plus faibles (pas une mince affaire !). Pour finir, le jeu est beugué. Je ne l'ai jamais fini. Car il faut prendre tous les châteaux pour gagner à la fin, mais quand je prenais l'un deux, ça me crashait le jeu ! Et systématiquement !
