Game crashes randomly

The title says it all - the game crashes at random times, and since it doesn't have a proper savesystem, you are reliant on "checkpoints", which return you to the place, where you took the active quest. On the other side of the map. The gear and XP progress is saved, but the map is reset. So you will be running over and over again and fighting over and over again, and pray the game doesn't crash. After spending two days trying different fixes, instead of playing the game, I am done. Apparently a "possible" working solution is fresh Windows installation. May try it under Linux someday. But for now - I have had enough. Shame, because I really liked the concept of the game. P.S.: There is no excuse in 2024 for the lack of a proper Quick save. "Design choice" and "convenience" shouldn't be mutually exclusive.

So many endorphins!

I generally do more trying than buying because of all the Meh out there, but this game mugged me at 3 am in a dark alley and I'm a thrill junky now. Immersion, accessible gameplay, real challenges & rewards, and replay value up the wahzoo. I believe anyone that sleeps on this $25 sale price will kick themselves. The game is worth way more. P.S. I mostly play puzzle and strategy games but Dying Light is my secret mistress that won't commit to loving me even if I leave my wife.

Dropkicking zombies in the face

Dying Light is fun, terrifying and the gameplay is amazing, even when playing with a controller. The world building is excellent, it reminds me a bit of Sleeping Dogs, Just Cause and GTA. Searching for items on a broken bridge, with hundreds of zombies running around abandonded cars and buses make the game into a truly terrifying experience. And don't even think about scavenging at night. Graphics and music are good, voice acting is decent combined with a big open world. Lots of fetch quests and a pretty predictable story can't take away the fun and horror you will experience playing this game! The highlight is the parkour system, which remains satisfying and fun throughout the game. Highly recommended!

A recent update fixed alot

Doesn't crash under repeatable circumstances, which just leaves you with an increedible game with only two major flaws cheaters online and the goons AOE you will dodge that hunk of rebar but the shockwave will kill you even behind the dang thing. Reading other reviews as someone who didn't own another version of the game I can't comment on alot of the critisism levied against this version and Techland but I don't know what I'm missing and if you don't either you'll probably enjoy as much as I do.
