Dungeon Keeper™ 2

Nice improvements from DK 1. The interface isn't perfect, it and the graphics are the only thing that knock 1 star off, but given the age it's certainly appropriate. Description is 'as is'. The game does what it intended to do but I found it less punishing yet more enjoyable than DK1. Highly recommended

The monsters you hire is a step down compared to DK1. I'm not excited about them. The dark atmosphere from the first game is largely gone, I don't like the cartoony vibe/looks. I see no reason to play the second game. This was my opinion back in the day and still is. Doesn't mean the game is bad, it's a personal preference.

I don't know if I'm just lucking out or if GOG fixed this game, but it's working beautifully for me with no modification after installation. I was hesitant to buy the game due to all the other reviews, but I'm glad I did now... I forgot how freakin fun this one is. Always one of my favorites back in the day, and it's lost none of its evil charm!

OK, after many hours of troubleshooting I finally find a perfect config, which means u can fully enyoy this perfect old game. Game is running without any crashing or disturbing things. Here's my config for non-crushing playing on Windows 7 (i think Win Vista will support same settings) At first u must set your compatibility mode for dungeon keeper 2 lauching icon (right click on icon, properties, then compatibility card.set compatibility for Windows 98. Then check box run as administrator.) Now u can start the game, in video option turn off hardware acc, shadows and resolution set max to 800x600 Now u can fully enyoy this fantastic game :) (sry for my bad english, greets from Slovakia)

A classic of all classics. DK2 stands out even today. Tricky? Yes. Taxing? Yes. Painful? Very yes. The echo of my childhood all in this game. To those who also enjoy it, I wave my skeletal hano.
