Driver®: Parallel Lines

this game is still a classic and fun to play the gun play feels a little wonky, but its because its so old. the driving on the other hand is really good for the time, this is back when ubisoft was good XD

Looks like it could have been cool, but stops taking keyboard an mouse input. it boots up fine, but cant select anything in menu.

Driver Parallel Lines provides a good alternative to the styling of Grand Theft Auto and Saints Row. As the name suggests, the game has a larger focus on the actual chases and driving, rather than shooting. It feels very reminiscent of classic heist and crime movies' chase scenes. The gunplay isn't the greatest, but it's also not the focus of the game. The game's graphics were slightly outdated when it was released, which doesn't do it many favours today as it isn't stylized. Driver Parallel Lines isn't likely to be a classic by most, but it provides a fun experience for the few hours the story lasts.

I remember playing this game a long time ago, perhaps the nostalgic value is adding to my rating however I think this is a thoroughly enjoyable game and for this price, why not?

Heyyo, so like most reviews on here I agree it's not the best Driver game but it's still a fun one. They should have kept the vehicle physics from the first driver as that one felt very realistic where-as this one feels like Scarface where the cars all seem to have retardedly stiff suspensions. I'm sure it's a royalties issue, but I LOVE THE SOUNDTRACK TO THIS GAME! I would have loved a soundtrack download on gog.com but yeah.. my guess is they'd have to charge $40 for this game for that hahaha. :P My fav song on the soundtrack? Maceo Parker (as Maceo) and the Macks - Cross The Tracks (We Better Go Back) I remember that song on the movie Snatch which was also amazing.
