Creative and immersive
This game is very creative and immersive for its time, and there are not many games which have been able to tell this type of story and recreate such an interesting concept world for players to explore since. The game story is told as such like a thriller sitcom, some may not like this design but i feel it works great for story building and keeps things simple if not a little cheesy at times. The main protagonist is relatable to many young adults and there is some good character development throughout the journey for players who are invested in the storyline. Luckily, the story is intriguing and has many interesting twists and turns, I also feel the length of the main campaign is perfect, however, as others would have mentioned, the ending is a little too ambiguous and open for interpretation. I actually enjoyed the world design more in this game over the Longest journey, however, I do wish the longest journey was remade with modern graphics to get a reimagining and grander scale of the fantasy environments. Overall i definitely recommend this title.

Blinded by nostalgia
I played this game as a kid and english is not my first language. I have absolutely no idea how I played this game and progressed in it back then, but playing now with better understanding it's a blast.

A game I will never forget. Epic.
It's been 6 years since I played this and I still remember the experience vividly. Haunting, poignant, beautiful yet sad. Excellent storyline. The setting of a charming, futuristic yet old Casablanca in which the beginning of the game is set in makes me want to visit it one day. The female protagonist Zoe makes for a very interesting character, not to mention her oh so sexy British accent. The combat system is a bit shoddy though, and frankly the game can do well without combat at all. The sneaking parts are also boring. But overall, it is a fantastic experience one would never forget. Also, great soundtrack! One of the songs " To Be With You" by Magnet, who is a Norwegian musician is still being played in my playlist till this day. So, play this game, you won't regret it.

Eyecandy, hold the controls
While everyone and their grandmother have weighed in on the graphical splendour (Too pretty for words - you really have to see it to believe it, even if it has some obvious imposed technical limitations. Fantastic atmosphere!), it goes without saying that the control scheme is NOT optimal for the PC. It's probably nice with a gamepad, but not in the slightest for keyboard-only adventurers. (Mouse makes it bearable.) But seeing as I have nothing new to add there, I'll just limit myself to pointing this little gem out: Voice acting. Yes, voice acting in pretty much any game that doesn't have Bioware's or LucasArts (RIP) logo on it has a disturbing tendency to be all kinds of awful - and Dreamfall is no exception. Or is it? Just for fun, I changed voices to Norwegian - and was instantly blown away. Pick any subtitle you like, but you owe it to yourself to experience the norwegian voices! Also noteworthy is that there are often more than one way to progress through tricky spots. For example, you can either walk right up to a not-very-nice-guy and bluff your way through, or lure him away with a pizza oven and sneak past him instead. (There's even a third option in that case: fail stealth/bluff and kick him inna nads.) Refreshing.
