Dragon Age™: Origins - Ultimate Edition

Years ago a friend asked me over and over to play the Dragon Age games. I always refused 'cause I couldn't image how a game with a party should work. Well, finally I started Dragon Age - Orgins and damn what an eye opener (after cursing the "create your hero" part). First run I started with a CityElf, Rouge (male) and the origin was not my personal favourite for what I had in mind for my character. Anyway the decision was made and I started the adventure (incl. all DLCs+Awakening). Since I made a few decision I didn't like I starteted a new run right after I finished the first one. This time Daelish Rouge (male) and that was even more fun. Now I finally understand why everyone is so crazy about this Franchis. The lore is excellent and the german Voice acting gives you goosebumps from time to time. PS: I'm no pro player. I only write reviews about the "fun" not the the technical side of a game. ----------------------------------------------------------------------- Nachdem mir Dragon Age immer wieder ans Herz gelegt wurde und ich es eigentlich nicht spielen wollte (weil ich mir nicht vorstellen konnte, wie das mit einer Gruppe aussehen sollte) fing ich dann irgendwann doch an. Und meine Herren, was war das für eine Erfahrung. Was habe ich geflucht, gelitten, gelacht und vieles mehr, während ich die Welt von Thedas erkundete. Okay, der Stadtelf war nicht die optimale Wahl, aber hey man konnte ja im Anschluss direkt noch einmal Spielen. Besonders, weil einige Entscheidungen doch nicht so das gelbe vom Ei waren. Also nach den DLCs + Awakening ging es erneut nach in Thedas. Dieses Mal mit einem Daelish Dieb und das war Spaß pur. Nun verstehe ich endlich warum so viele Spieler von Dragon Age begeistert sind. Man sollte allerdings Lesen mögen ;) und die deutsche Synchro jagt einem hier und da auch Schauer über den Rücken. PS: Ich spiele um Spaß zu haben. Daher beziehen sich all meine Reviews darauf, nicht auf die technischen Aspekte.

"Camera control is from early 2000s" ~ well the game was made in the early to mid 2000's and realeased at the end of the decade "feels like a witcher clone" ~ well the witcher devs got their game engine from Bioware for their 1st Witcher game, so while this uses a different engine, there going to be similarities as it's made by Bioware. Personally don't find The Witcher or this game to be anyting a like though. Combat system is a tad quirky as it's turn based/pausable action combat with timer cool downs for abilities. Story wise.... well being that the game is ancient in "modern" terms maybe it feels a tad generic in today world. Tons of content if want to go through it all; designed in a way can move on towards the end acts if so desired. Cut scene story telling some of the best their ever was for a video game ~ my opinion of course.

Even if this is an old game, the story, the gameplay, the dialogues.... PERFECT

The GOG version of this game is the best version available for pc.
