Speechless

This is the best RPG experience i had by far. When I first saw videos of it on youtube, I was like nah, I don`t like this isometric style. But i didn`t had something to play, so i`ve give it a try. Once I I get used to no explainations at all, I fall in love with this game. I´ve played it now for over 1000 ! hours. The only other games I played this intense long time were real big Open World RPG´s like Skyrim and Fallout. This is a real masterpiece. Like Petra from gamestar said in her review, if you are only a little interested in RPG´s, you have to play this one.

A work of art

It is indeed a work of art, visual, music, sound, writing, everything. There are a few somewhat annoying systems in the game such as level and item scaling that are in place to ensure that the combat is balanced. These are in part skippable but not entirely. Despite all that, the whole experience makes you think and feel, which is certainly more than anybody can expect from a computer game. It is long, complex, beatiful, frustrating, elaborate, and I can use 100s more words to describe it.

Best RPG ever

Finished the game with a free copy, bought the game just to support the devs. Easily one of the best RPGs ever made.

The worst CRPG I've played so far

I've only played a couple of hours on normal difficulty, and I cannot fathom why a game so poorly designed is so positively reviewed. There is litterally nothing about it that a tabletop rpg guy would like. The open-ended design is negated by the progression structure: you have to do certain things in order to be able to progress further, whether it is gathering new party members, grinding XP to pass difficulty checks, etc. There are good and bad ways to accomplish quests, with punishment for the latter. The game mechanics rely essentially on savescumming and foreknowledge. The production value is here, but there is no competent role playing game to be found.

Love the game, but...

Hate the launcher. What's the point? To inform me of Larian's other games? I already knew, and there are better ways to do that without forcing a separate application on me. Oh I see you're also selling merchandise, that might have something to do with it also perhaps? The game's great, it's more of what made the first one great and that's exactly what I wanted. I don't want another pointless launcher. If Larian removes the launcher I'll gladly update my review to the 4-5 stars the game deserves.
