It's the story again
I believe that by now everyone who looked even the slightest into Arcane Studio's games has noticed that the main issue most players have with their games is the overarching storyline, so I don't want to go to much into detail on that part, apart from stating that yes, it is only functional again, yes, it will take some of the mysticism surrounding the Outsider by explaining his origins and yes, you get to see Daud again, which for itself would make the game worth playing. However, as always Arcane provides the player with new powers and a few new gadgets compared to the previous entries in the series: The blink (teleport) ability in this game lets the player set a marker on the map that allows him to return to that exact point as long as he is in range, even through walls. The second ability, Foresight, lets the player get a sort of out-of-body experience in which he can, as long as he does't stray too far from his body, explore his surroundings in a sort of time freeze. The third ability allows the player to copy the appearance of other NPC and thus gain access to otherwise restricted areas. And here it is where Arcane took a popular fan request to heart: Instead of having the player use his powers, especially the teleport and wait for the magic resource to replenish in order not to use a potion, the player will always regain all of his mana over time and can chain multiple teleports without worrying about potions, which makes the gameplay more fluent overall. Another part that players missed in Dishonored 2 were the side missions, small optional tasks the player can complete for his own benefit, which return in the form of contracts. Since Billie Lurk is a mercenary, she can receive those little tasks by going to the local black market. The tasks can range from little things like destroying a few bottles of a specific drink to slaughtering a whole religious order and will reward the player with money or, more often bonecharms.
