Diablo + Hellfire

If using the Belzebub mod the game is still a lot of fun, wouldn't play without it. A fun dungeon crawler with a decent amount of items, but no complex potion/buff stuff (which I don't care for anyway). Only downside is that the Belzebub mod doesn't support multiplayer.

This is a classic that will see many hours of play time from me. I've already racked up about 25 hours and I'm really happy to have a stable copy that will run on my newer computer. It isn't perfect though. I've experienced a couple mouse related glitches where it will stop working properly or disappear and I can only get it back by waving it around on my screen. That being said, it has only crashed once. It feels like more money is dropping than the original which is nice. If I could change anything about it, I would want to be able to move faster. Walking feels so painfully slow. And I would want more resolution options. Overall, worth the price, even if it is a little steep for a 25 year old game. :)

You wont regret buying this if you have played the game in 90s. If you have never played the this I would advise to wait for Diablo 2. I also aggree with other reviewers that this is a sign for Diablo 2 too. It may hit GOG in the near future.

Deepest thanks for GOG bringing this game up to date! As a beginner this game is easy to learn and offers a lot to explore and experience in such a small area! The game design has everything it needs and nothing unnecessary, and it works wonderfully! The only thing bothering me is the fact that the hotkeys/item slots in the tool bar aren't working properly sometimes. For some reason, buttons 2 and 4 are not working while you're pressing shift leading to some unnecessary deaths when you're unable to use the heal potions while being murdered by a wave of monsters. Fortunately it's easy to avoid this by not pressing shift while using the item, but it's definitely a problem I'd like to see fixed.

Finally i played and beat this classic game and it is great 10h long game, so stay for a while and listen. It has great music, especially when you are in Tristram. Altho it has "clunky" moment, it doesn't cause big problems for me. But why 4 stars ? Because in game description used to say that game supports high resolution which is half true but it doesn't support wide screen resolutions (16:9 or 10). Also it is missing some of expansions but those were done by different developers.
