Diablo + Hellfire

Never played anything than D3 in the series, already loving this.

I still have the disk version of this and Hellfire and it runs on Windows 10. It occasionally crashes, but you can play it fine. Just save often. So it isn't worth it to pay $10 for this copy. Okay, so better compatibility and graphics options, but no Hellfire. $10? Nope. The me a 75% sale and I will probably get it just to not need the disk if nothing else. If you haven't played it before, be prepared for dated graphics and missing features that you expect in the genre today. Just finding items on the ground without using a skill from Hellfire can be a pain. Still well worth checking out just to see where it all began.

I don’t know where the old and clunky came from in the reviews I read. This game literally started the aRPG genre. This is the first and best and it was co-op! Me and my friend bet Diablo and it felt EPIC. Love this game. If it wasn’t for his fighter with me, I would have never made it. So many resist down LOW. I am going to wait until it’s in sale, because wow, $10. Good luck.

In a way, this was Dark Souls before people knew it existed. Unless I was playing a Warrior, I typicly die in the first level. Three skeletons will mess you up if you arn't careful! Welcome to Diablo, where if you get froggy, you'll die a painful death...hope you saved... cuz you don't get respanws. If you want to experience where the great adventure started, don't even restrain yourself and come adventure into the layberenth. With Hellfire you got four classes (Warrior, Rouge, Wizard, Monk) new spells (Like Search, something you get for free in D2/D3 by pressing tab or whatever) and buffs like increase accuracy or damage potions. Even tho its not an official expantion, its definatly in the same vein and light. I played and beat the original back in the day. I never knew of Hellfire. So I jumped in, and after playing for a few minutes it's feeling like days of old. I can tell the town interactions were improved, mainly walking around town. You gotta get used to the combat a bit, like clicking for attacks, but its solid. Theres enough lore in the game and manual to keep it going. Why people liked D1 and D2 so much, and kinda didn't like D3 as much. This is what started the whole genra for a lot of people. It was just known as hack n slash back then. Even now, people compare hack n slashes to Diablo. In ways, this game does better then some today...but that is DEFINATLY nostalga talking. Its a tight, polished game, and if you like challenges, then get this. Maybe GoG can get D2 DRM free, that would be great. :D
