Devil May Cry 4 plonge les joueurs dans un univers gothique surnaturel, dans lequel un nouveau personnage affronte un héros bien connu. Nero, le nouveau personnage principal, peut effectuer des attaques phénoménales et des combos époustouflants, grâce à une nouvelle mécanique de jeu : le puissant bras "Devil Bringer".
Fortuna, une cité côtière située sur une île lointaine. C'est ici qu'un groupe connu sous le nom de l'Ordre de l'épée pratique une mystérieuse religion. Vouant un culte divin au chevalier démoniaque Sparda qui combattit pour protéger les humains, l'Ordre de l'épée s'est engagé à exterminer tous les autres démons. Nero, un jeune chevalier de l'Ordre, se voit confier la mission de trouver Dante, le mystérieux assassin qui a abattu le chef spirituel de l'Ordre. Au même moment, la ville se retrouve envahie par les démons. Une simple coïncidence ? Nero connaîtra bientôt les raisons qui ont poussé Dante à commettre ce crime, ainsi que les véritables intentions de l'Ordre de l'épée...

A Flawed But good
Played too many hours of this game back on the PS3 days, Good to see this on GOG and a decent port at that. SE edition adds a little bit more replay value with finally playing as nearly the entire DMC crew!

A Good But Flawed Experience
DMC 4 makes you wonder what if Capcom had the balls to upgrade DMC 3 in all its western glory both in terms of initial difficulty and boss fights. The Cerberus boss is far better than anything DMC 4 throw at you. On the positive side, the gameplay mechanics are improved and the Devil Bringer is a fine addition. The platforming sections and camera are the best of the entire series (including DMC 5). Cannot say the story hooks you but at least it's a decent enough excuse for you to be running around slashing demonic sock puppets

Oh say can you cry
This game has always been a blast, I mean its not Fallout 4 with tons of things to do, its a button masher but a fun button masher to kill time with and one gets to play as Nero and Dante or Virgill or Lady and Trish so it offers 3 ways to play. The graphics are solid and the music is intense, and while the demons are kind of bland, its still a blast to shoot and slash them up. In short, glad this game has finally come to GOG since Steam no longer works on Windows 7. And with that being said, while the requirements do list Windows 10, the game works fine on 7, which it should, it was coded to use directx10 and put out over 10 years ago, no game from back then required 10.

Point of the review: it works for me
So, first of all, about the game itself: It's fun, it's nice to play (though you'll definitely feel more comfortable with a gamepad than MKB), the characters are different, all with their own style of play. The story isn't the best among the 5 Devil May Cry games that currently exist, but it's OK enough. Plus, it has my favorite design for Dante. The most damning negative about the game is repetition of content. You will traverse the same zones and fight the same areas twice. Sure, it's going to be with different characters, but still. And now for the point of the review. I see a bunch of comments saying that it doesn't work for them and to that I say that it works fine on my PC from 2015 with Win10 on it.
