Deus Ex™ GOTY Edition

For context i have played games since the 80es and also played many older games in recent years. So that isn't the reasoning behind me not being as impressed by this game as most people seem to be. With that being said i can easily see why people would love this game back in 2000, it does a lot of things that you didn't see much of back then. Does it do it well though? In some areas yes, and in others not so much. The stealth part, which is a big thing in these games, has been done so much better in later games. For me it was just frustrating and i decided on violence instead. The story, characters and voice acting is wildly inconsistent in quality. Weird bugs and crashes was also part of my experience (i played the original game, no mods) Still it was a brave game for it's time and it tried a lot of interesting things. For me it is more like a diamond in the rough though. Not one of the greatest games of all time.

TERRIFIC game, with a deep story that's convincingly told, and a nearly unlimited range of RPG options with solid consequences on every level. This title is an Experience, and must buy! Some terrific mods for this game as well. Still, the title's "perfect" as is, and doesn't require them to become an instant classic.

Possibly the best role playing FPS of all time, sets the standard for all others.

This game is one the greatest games ever made of all times. In Deus Ex you play as JC Denton an agent for the United Nations Anti Terrorist Coalition (UNATCO). The story starts taking twists and turns and soon your questioning whats right and whats wrong in real life. From the music to the stealth to one of the greatest stories ever told in a video game right up their with Planescape:Torment. Everyone should experience this game at some point, especially if you like plot heavy games with lots of exploration.
