Incredibly based and red pilled.
Amazing game. It also predicted everything that is going on now.

The year is 2052 and the world is a dangerous and chaotic place. Terrorists operate openly - killing thousands; drugs, disease and pollution kill even more. The world's economies are close to collapse and the gap between the insanely wealthy and the desperately poor grows ever wider. Worst of all, an ages old conspiracy bent on world domination has decided that the time is right to emerge from the shadows and take control.

The best PC game written.
I own this title on steam, and felt compelled to write a small review on it here. This is hands down the best pc game story line written, the only other game that for me came close to this in story but was a bit clunkier, was vampire the masquerade redemption. The game mechanics are a bit clunky, the shooting is fun, but all that is vastly over shadowed by a tremendous story, sound track, and atmosphere created by the environment your set in. The first mission of the game is probably the best mission on a game i have played, and it also throws you straight into the thick of things, right into suppressing the enemy and clearing out the liberty statue. Get this game, it will be one of the best 1-5 dollars you spend for a piece of pc gaming history that even though my favourite, still probably ranks in the top 5 of any respected pc gaming journal out there.

Still Some of the Best Writing Ever
I still love the OG Deus Ex. Yes, the graphics are mad dated. But my GOD are those plots, sub-plots, shadow-plots-within-sub-plots, and character development top notch. It really raised the bar for videogames in many, many ways, but to this day (as in May 24th, 2020), it is STILL worth playing for the storyline. The gameplay is a bit dated, and the graphics are super-old, but even if you can't normally get past that, I would still recommend this game to you. It is one of the most well-written, interesting, and exciting plots in a videogame. Not even the Adam Jensen Deus Ex games can compare.

Based™
Excellent level design and iconic music, good ammount of content and replayability (About 20hr a casual playthrough). Graphics are stylized and looks quite pleasing 24 years after release. Voice acting of the main cast is excellent as well as dialogue in general. VA of secondary NPCs can be hit or miss. Story is WAY ahead of its time and it's excellent, quite thought-provoking, and the world building is equally fantastic. The open nature of the levels, as well as the enemy AI and the RPG elements of both combat and exploration truly shine if played in the hardest difficulty. Pacing of the main story falls off a cliff half-way through but it's so fun it never ends up mattering that much, specially since level design only gets better.

THE Immersive Sim.
.... I mean, I don't think a review of the actual Deus Ex is necessary (if you never heard of it... man, where the heck did you live?) since it is, simply put, one of the best videogames of all time AND the finest example of ''Immersive Sim'', although not being the very first (that honour goes to System Shock... or Ultima Underworld, which is more of a proto-immersive sim, really). (P.S. Immersive Sim has always been quite a difficult genre to pin down, but I think that Deus Ex represent its very definition.) So, I prefer to be focusing on the Revision Mod that comes with the game (which I admit, although I've played this game for, like, ten times?... I never tried, or heard, of the Revision Mod), so this review is for those who already played the OG game and wanted to try something different (which, again, should be everybody, people!... Yes, Immersive Sim are not for everybody, but c'mon! It's Deus Ex). And... it's still Deus Ex: beautifully and masterfully crafted, and now there's simply more of it! (there's only the new soundtrack problem, which I consider to put, for the most part, weaker than the OG... but you can deactivate it and restore the OG one in the menu). Now, time to put the ''conspiracy'' glasses and to... ''Page'' this game to your friends! (...I know, that was weak... man, what a Shame.... What a rotten way to pun!)
