If you're a joystick hero and your 3D thinking is top notch - you KNOW this game, you PLAYED this game, and you OWN this game. Not sure why anybody would buy this on GOG unless they messed up their game discs. Hint: Although it does not rub it in your face, the game usually runs berst on OpenGL (wise move), not DirectX.
If you're a joystik hero and your 3D thinking is NOT top notch ... heh, just use Wingnut, your all-knowing /renamable) cheatbot included in every edition of the game [lol].
Features two engines (outside and inside) seamlessly stiched together for a nice experience. Gawd, it's great :]
Would be nice if the sound installed with the main file. Or at least the were instructions on how to add sound files to the install. Mind you this is a review of the service. Never played the game itself, though fondly remember the demo.
What an AWFUL piece of c*** this thing is. The ship is so slow it makes navigating through the levels an absolute torture, its impossible to dodge enemy attacks, not to mention the map is absolutely useless and you'll be wandering through the levels like a moron while trying to find your objectives. Also, mouse support is broken, and the game will crash for no reason. DISGUSTING, stay away...
