Days Gone

It most likely will require patience and effort to fix the crippling frame rate issues. I myself visited many threads from Reddit, Steam, GoG, and others to try and fix the issues with the terrible frame rate. I have no idea what ended up working for me, but once I got it fixed...the game proved to be one of the best games I've ever played! BAD: Frame rate issues that require detective work to fix GOOD: Story, characters, music, gameplay...everything else Everything comes together so nicely. The intensity of taking on a horde while that freaky music plays! Or, the nice hero music when you save someone. I'm usually not able to pull off gaming maneuvers easily but the controls in this game are easy to pick up and master. Power creeping isn't an issue either as your upgrades make you more capable, not a god. Sure, taking on hordes is "easier" but if you make mistakes, you'll still get swarmed and die. The story, is a bit predictable but in a genuinely great way. Imagine watching The Walking Dead or Game of Thrones where everything you want for your characters happens! I know...it isn't realistic, but I can't help it...the story draws you in and does remind you that the worst has already happened to these characters. Buy this game, figure out how to fix the frame rate issue...and enjoy exploring and making Oregon a better place!

Underrated game in my opinion one of the greats of playstation catalog

Sony knows how to write a remarkable story. I shed a tear or two after the final mission, that's how strong of a bond I had built up with the charakters. Gameplay is also good and as the completionist that I am, I think I gor a pretty nice bang for the buck with having had 65 hours of fun with this game.

I really wanted to play this game back in the day, but it ran like crap on steam with constant crashing. Now this version without DRM and NO CRASHING is the holy grail damn. Finally I can enjoy this game in peace, thanks!

3.5/5 - Days Gone doesn't have the biggest/broadest offering in terms of the open world experience but that doesn't detract from what is overall still a fun gaming experience, whether that's tearing through the countryside racing along abandoned roads on your drifter bike or taking it to the zombies, marauders and rippers with your array of weapons, you'll find there's still enough to get PLENTY of hours out of this title which ultimately makes it a shame we won't get a sequel to see the ideas and concepts given a proper chance to be fleshed out.
