What a shame

I love the Diablo 1 - like atmosphere in the game, dark, heavy, hopeless. But oh boy how the game trolls you. You have an enemy with 1 HP left? Game will make sure you will miss him 5 times in a row, and he will destroy your whole team with an absurd AoE attack. There is too much RNG in the game and I really have a strange feeling, that every dice roll is against you, like you get exactly what is worst for you. Not fun for me as a game, I play to have fun and relax and not to get frustrated about game trolling you with RNG. That is a NO from me.

No standard SAVE option.

I have no problem with the game being a rogue-like, kind of hard, and challenging. I think it has a lot of depth and high replay value. The person below my review gives a good objective description of the gameplay. However there is ONE THING I absolutely resent missing from any game, and that is the option to SAVE at any time you feel like it. That’s why I am giving only 1 star.

Windows 10 Issues

So I absolutely loved this game when I first got it. I really liked the gameplay, I played it quite a bit in my opinion, did some cool stuff. And then there was a Windows 10 update. It fried my ability to play most of my games, and this was no exception. However, for a game to have had several months since this update was released to patch so it can/will work, and the game still doesn't run, I'm leaving a 1-star review. This is not how an official game should work. I would expect this level of fallacy from a romhack or something, not from a game I paid real money to play. And there is literally zero excuse, as a new DLC was just released (which would involve the game being updated) barely a week ago.

Hello?....McFly!?

I have no problem with a little bit of RNG. In the right circumstances it keeps things fresh and can add excitement to a game. But for the love of Christ man did the game need this level of that? So I'm in the first dungeon and I'm still learning the ropes. I carefully set out my team making sure understand what everything does and who should stand where. I'm then faced with my first fight (not the tutorial fight) So rather than going in Leroy Jenkins stylee, I decide to find out what weaknesses they have and how best to exploit them. I find out one of the enemies has a 10% resistance to blight. "Ho ho" thinks I "I got you now"........ I throw the plague grenade..... RESISTED. Are you fucking kidding me? Its almost like the devs don't understand how probability works.10% may as well be zero. This is the entire game. Numbers don't mean anything, they may as well not even be there because it becomes a guessing game as to whether the AI is going to stick to the rules. I could understand if the game was being played on the hardest difficulty because as we all know, games cheat which is how they simulate difficulty. This was on normal....NORMAL! Now for anyone who has a basic grasp of numbers...a 10% chance of avoiding.....MEANS 90% success chance for the other guy! This is sheer laziness on the devs side and if you are the type of person who buys several monitors a month because they end up with fist shaped holes in them for some unknown reason and then later have to sit with a group of strangers and talk about how that might have happened, then may I suggest you avoid this game.

Casual gamers might like it

Played for around 20 minutes. Characters do not maintain position/party order but instead have a 'preferred position' mechanic which eliminates any hope of tactical choice. When your only swordsman prefers not to stand at the front of the group, they really just are a waste of a character slot. Brilliant graphical style. Not at all a game requiring thought out choices, I would recommend this to people who only play games for short periods of time per sitting, or more 'casual' gamers.
