Great game, with a few bugs and poor performance.

Like many RPG's you have to pick what your character looks like and its skills before you even play the game, which takes time, and it feels slow. Then the start of the game runs at a gentle pace, so it feels like a really sluggish start and not like the trailers. The main draw of the game is the atmosphere, the dialogue, and the story. It really is well done on those aspects, some of the best ever in games. Once you get past the tutorial sections the game gets going, and gun combat was good once I disabled auto-aim features, why that is on by default I don't know. The AI has some problems I'd love to see fixed in a patch as they aren't particularly smart, like most games, though it is still good enough to have a blast. If they can get some of the bugs and glitches under control with patches, it'll be a fantastic game. When compared to the Witcher 3, you jumped straight in as Geralt, and you got going. This is an RPG where you define your V, so that takes a lot longer to get into it, they should have had more default characters to select from and an auto-level up path for those that are less interested in the traditional RPG elements.

Amazing game with lots of minor issues

Cyberpunk 2077 is overall very impressive and does set the standard for new games as it does feel like a true next-gen game in a way. But in it's current state and first impressions from day one I cannot give it 5 stars. With fixes and some reworks and maybe mods this game will be a true masterpiece but we'll have to wait for that. Things CDPR did really well: - Characters and voice acting - City design and all the attention to details - Quests and sidegigs - Music - Beautiful graphics (after fixes) - Gunplay and weaponry Mixed feelings: - Some questionable keyboard controls like from a console port game - Melee combat - Linear dialogues with little choice and backstory not being impactful enough - I thought cyberware as luxury items would add more to looks and customization and not just stats - Perks for the most part are just situational percentile stat bonuses; hoped for more - Bullet sponge enemies and bullet sponge skulls they have; it's understandable to some degree but doesn't help immersion - Stealth is rather bad in its current state - Selling junk one by one is so slow Things CDPR did poorly but most of these are fixable: - AI pathing, clipping, behaviour, glitches in movement - Police appears behind you from nowhere and one/two-shots you; I know its dark sci-fi setting but come on. Make it like it is in GTA at least. - Equipment balancing and scaling - similar flaws as in Witcher 3 - it just feels like lazy design to have gear locked just by levels and quickly becoming obsolete especially when you find cool looking unique armor - Difficulty setting feels poorly balanced - played on hard - having all the "up-to date" armor and 200 armor skin cyberware and enemies/police (no red skull indicator) after Act 1 deal exactly 195 damage and two-shot me. Is it a formula based on level diffrence or what? Not a fan of that. I can't hide Im quite dissapointed like many others, Amazing game with so many minor issues adding up and affecting immersion.

Just perfect... with minor issues

The game is great, spent whole night playing already. Mechanics, graphics, plot- everything is just fantastic... The only things that could be better - are: - optimization... I wish I could have more FPS on my GTX 1070 - full 25:9 screens support - unfortunately inventory screen is purely 16:9... - better key remapping for PC... there some keys, like "I"(open inventory), etc.. that could not be seen or remapped in settings... All other stuff is beyond any imagination. Spent 18+ hours ingame already and likely it will be over 200...

Great Game

###Disclaimer: I didn't let the hype sway me and made me think that the game will look and play like a CGI movie. Most everyone upset with this game seem to have sung it's praises prior to releaes thinking it would cure cancer and now are upset to find out that it's a game. #### Cyberpunk 2077 is a great RPG with some rough edges that will get ironed out through its first few weeks after release just like the Witcher 3. I'm close to 20 hours in and there isn't a single second where I felt bored. Side quests (Side Jobs) are engaging which I am grateful for since I don't want to just rush through the main story. There is always something to do, see, explore. Night City is the first virtual playgroud where I find my self not fast traveling around; instead, I walk or drive everywhere. The shooting is better than Deus Ex but not as tight as a competitive shooters like R6 Siege. However, this game is an RPG first and foremost so it really doesn't affect me and to be honest the shooting is the best in any RPG I've played. If you really don't like shooting you can hack, slash, or even use smart weapons that track the enemies for you. Lastly, performance. The game will take a beefy machine to run maxed out 70+ @ 1080p. From my experience I'm getting anywhere from 64 - 83 fps on average. Settings: High Preset Disabled (film grain, chromatic, lens flare, depth of field) RTX Enabled (Only Reflections) DLSS (Quality) PC: i5 10600k RTX 3070 16GB RAM @ 3200Mhz Game on M.2 NVME

Sets the Standard for FPS-RPG

Bugs and Glitches have been mininal in my experience since I am able to run the game on ultra settings without melting. Other than that CDPR have put other devs of this gaming genre on notice. I say the let the game speak for itself. To each their own.
