loved it when it was playable

I've had this game since day one and I loved it warts and all....however now the game is now down right unplayable. the last 2 updates have totally knee capped this game and add bugs I've never seen before and all with in the opening chapter of the games intro. broken animation, texture popping, T posing everywhere even in cut scenes, lip animation broken, combat animations broken, crash after crash after crash after crash.....you know this game ran fine for me from the start. Yes there was a lot of work that needed to be done but at the least I was able to play through the games story with barely a hicup....now its just FUCKED! This game WAS great and I hope it will be again if CDProjektRed keeps thier promise...so far I don't believe them anymore so yea....dont buy this game till they stop fucking around and FINISH IT

A dream with some drawbacks

I personally love Cyberpunk: it's gorgeous, its world building, level design, storytelling and whatnot are top notch. It had bugs, although not so many as you have probably heard of; Still, we are now at update 1.6 and things are getting better and better, with tons of fixes and new content. Personally, this game resonates so much with me I can't even describe it. It's a great journey in an incredible setting, with memorable characters and fun gameplay. It could have been even better: it could have had more roleplay in it, more choices with more impact (there are plenty of them already though) more interaction with Night City, which is simply fantastic. It's a really good game, but I feel that all the hype sorrounding it gave it a bad name which is hard to shake off eventually. If you're a sci fi fan though, this game is just a dream - one with the electric sheep. Try it.

GoTY 2020 On PC, Yes, It Is That Good

My GotY in 2020, and possibly the best game I've played in 2022. After a great intro, there is a small hiccup where far too much time passes and you end up in the same spot you would regardless of which of the 3 life paths you choose, but besides that, once the story gets going, it does not stop, and a playthrough could last anywhere from 45 hours to 300 depending on how much you want to do. The writing is on par with the best I've ever seen in a video game, while the story itself rivals any tale ever put to any type of media. It really is sad how many people have avoided this game do to negative press. Anyway, from humble beginnings you and your best friend have one dream, to become Night City legends, and you are given numerous ways to accomplish that goal. Whether it's a well placed sniper round between the eyes, a nuerotoxin knife the back of the neck, or a quick hack that sees your enemies literally fry on site as their cyberware explodes, taking them with it, the methods to dispose of the people trying to stop you are too numerous to mention. Cyberpsychos, Militech agents and futuristic Yakuza will all try to get in your way as you try to figure out why Johnny Silverhand's ghost is essentially haunting you, and worse, how to stop him from taking control of your body for good. The voice acting is incredible, the music just as fitting, and by the end of the game you'll have numerous NPC's as concerned with you just making it out alive as you are about becoming said legend. Who and how many depend on you and your decisions, the question is, can you figure it out before the sand in your hour glass runs out? Or will you just be another kid who falls victim to big Night City dreams? One things for sure regardless, it will be one hell of a ride!

love it

since patch 1.6 ive been hooked on it it still has a way to go but overall worth the time. putting edge runners in the game makes be belive that this game could have lived for much longer esp with mods. my biggest problem on why o wont give 5 stars is simply only 1 major dlc and minor updates. when it was said to be as much as the witcher i was hoping for more before the reveal of unreal engine. im loving it more as i play. wish there were more of a dedicated team specifically only for this game to keep creating the magic the comes from edge runners. i own this on playstation 5 and when i can i will be purchasing this on pc specifically for mods and well the pc version, i hope cdpr gets more dedicated teams for this world there is so much crossover and more to be had. i think geralt should be a playable chacter though either but cyberware or as choce of main charater. good job on the update please keep them coming.

Still crashes 2 years after release

I play on a RTX3080 + Ryzen 7700x, 32go of ram, and despite that I still get regular crashes to desktop without warning, on a fresh windows install with nothing else running in the background. Don't buy in the new marketing campaign, this game remains very far from being confortably playable, really a shame
