Still far from what was promised

I was one of the many victims of CDPR's world class marketing team when they were advertising and hyping the game pre launch. I was fortunate enough to not have any play ending bugs during launch, but still felt extremly cheated with what was available in game and the experience I was led to believe I'd have. With that said, I did still have fun exploring and diving into Night City. Combat has its moments (especially if you buy into the RP side a bit). Driving and police/bounty system is a shower thought you get after the after thought. Jump to the current state of the game (10/14/2022), A lot of the old bugs have been fixed, but there are still many in the game. Some features have been added that I did enjoy (i.e. transmog). Like I've said earlier, CP2077 was still fun for me, it's just that I had to milk out and try hard to get the $60 value out of this game. I honestly think it's because I was/am still butthurt about how the marketing team bamboozled me. Much love to the devs and ground workers for trying to fix the sh** sandwitch the shot callers made. I bumped up my rating to a 4 star, solely because Mike Pondsmith created a phenomenal world and CDPR did a decent job with the lore (plus Keanu Reeves). I am glad that the IP is still being used and hope the company learns from this. TLDR: If you have been following from pre launch and have been thinking about purchasing, wait for a sale. If you have no idea what the Cyberpunk franchise is, this game MAY be worth $60 to you. P.S. I Really Want to Stay at Your House

everyone else is wrong, best game ever!!

i genuinely love this game, each character you can create such a bond with and the storyline is so dope. although does kinda suck once you finish their storyline there’s not much else you can do to interact with them. this game is so in depth and i’m on my third save now with hundreds of hours to back up my previous saves as there’s so many things to do in the one save. the game gets better and better every update and the bugs get fixed. i didn’t really have any bugs in my game anyway, just a few things here and there but if you just save and turn it off and on, you’re all golden. clearly people just want something to complain about, these reviews i’m reading are exactly like the ones on gta5, but i gotta say it’s those people that still play that game and say it never gets old. everyone is so critical and i’m sure don’t get how much effort it would’ve taken for this game. no it’s not exactly what the game was supposed to be but it’s still my all time favourite game, and i’m sure these people wrote their reviews and then went back to finishing the game. anyways i’m sure i’m not the only one who realises this. also! cant wait for the new dlc!!!

The hype was the great villain

This game is great. Just finished it (decembre/22) after all patches and fixes. 1) Great Story Line; 2) Great Sidequests Storylines; 3) Great Characters; 4) Nice lore and background; 5) The Map has a really nice size. It's not too big that makes it empty and not too small that makes you feel desappointed; 6) Nice gameplay; The problem was the hype created around this game and the issues when it was realesed, because I really liked it (now in dec/22). There're still some bugs, but it's "ok".

Love it

I absolutely love this game. Even now after 200+ hours i am still finding content i have not seen before - albeit police missions most of the time, but still. Yes, it is missing a LOT of features that CDPR told us would be in the game (which is why it loses a star) but the game itself is solid and the story is great. What i do not like is that there is so little else to do. You cannot go and eat with a friend or date someone - once their story line is done, you cannot do something else with them. (Pretty much like in Witcher 3) But all in all i do not regret buying this game att full price.

I should've known better

Can't say much about the gameplay or the storyline, other than it just relentlessly railroads you right from the start. You don't really get a say in anything and V's personality is pretty much locked in place, without you knowing anything about it. Some exposition couldn't hurt. But anyway can't really play a role in this supposed role-playing game when you have no control over anything meaningful. Aaand then there's the reason why i haven't progressed much and that is the performance, or lack thereof. Something is very wrong with this world when cdpr can have that list of lies as their "recommended" specs and not be in jail. My machine at least is above that spec and i can't get more than low 30's in the city on lowest settings. I feel like i've been lied to and betrayed. Wouldn't be such an issue otherwise but from what i can tell, they're not even sorry. Choke on a caulk CDPR bosses.
