They have a lot of patching to do...

This is a temporary review and will be replaced with the actual one once they patched the game up. I waited for Cyberpunk since it's original announcement years ago. I understand that they were working on The Witcher 3 and expansions and had little time to actually work on Cyberpunk. I was preparing myself to see the amount of bugs and unfinishness similar to the W3. But not something like that. Even if I ignore the bugs, there is still something not quite right in the gameplay itself. The city feels unfinished. It feels like work in progress. Like a placeholder. You're walking down the street and you feel like it's a mod, not a game. Like an alpha build, or proof of concept. I played a couple hours, then decided to just wait until they finish it. I'm not saying "don't buy it". Just don't buy it yet. It will be great, there is no doubt about it. But playing it now is just pointless. You'll gonna get bored of it or finish it before CD Projekt finishes it themselves. :D

does not work as advertised

Pros: -Looks great, the best looking game there is. -random people playing guitar on the street -has the words cyber and punk in its name Cons: -I dont have sounds from enemies, which basically breaks the game. Cant hear steps or shots in combat. -Got shot by police just walking down the street minding my own business. -Cant figure out howto put clothes on my character, but thats fine actually, did not put much effort into it. -What i put in a considerable amount of effort is is to fix the game breaking bugs, basically spend more time troubleshooting then playing the game.

get off the Cocaine

a games story, script, voice acting, visuals, audio, 20 years of Lore and worldbuilding - don't mean much when you can't play the game - means even less when playing the game harms your hardware. less again when you paid top dollar on a pre-purchase based on the (blatant lies*) marketing material. doesn't matter how much i wana finish my first file so i can go onto my 2nd file and get that katana from the old bloke that i missed on my first run. the price is too high. these minimum system requirements are a lie. it appears that neither devs nor publishers have any Respect; for consumers, rights or laws. this game awakens some boycott level of consumer frustrations for me. at least Hello Games (No Mans' Sky) have the respect to offer everyone, everywhere, a full refund reguardless of how long ago you got the game or how much time you've spent in the game. I could email Sean Murray right now and ask him for a refund n he'll be like, yeah dude my word still stands, thank you so much for your patronage. if i email Adam Badowski right now i'll either never get a responce, get an automated responce leading back to no-responce, or he'll be full corpodog mode and say "no, you do not deserve a refund". shame such a cool fictional universe has been dragged into this shameful business practice.

Love Witcher 3 this one not at all

Full disclosure maybe 2 VERY frustrating hours into the game. Started over twice. Last time went into the turtorial and could not figure it out. Went online got a rough idea of how it works. Tried again. Still could not grapple the dude in the hack screen module. If it is this frustrating in the beginning what is it going to be like in-game? Very little information on how the system works. Uninstalled. I have over 600 hours in Withcerr 3 so not a complete neophyte.

mehhhh

I got the game when it originally came out..... was sooo hyped for it but had to wait 2 weeks for the patch for my video card to kinda work... fast forwards 4 weeks and now i can finally play it.... now i work a full time job and have 2 kids to take care of so i dont get to play games alot.... How did i end up beating the game in 16 hours..... I talked to my buddies and did alot more side quest and back tracked to max out my stuff for Johnny but still ... now 22 hours in and i beat all 3 endings.... the game was unfinished and here a year later is still is unfinished..... buy it used on a console and play it if your board.... you'll spend most your time driving around more than anything else....
