I love this game

Hello there, Despite all critics and negative noises behind this game that are saying that it is dissapointment. I must say that its not. I love this game, mechanics, the world itself. Everything is perfectly carved for my personal taste. the thing is that you need to know how to enjoy yourself in this massively immersive world of sex, guns, and violence. Message for impatient fools. This game needs few tweaks that make it running in no time. stay cool would you? CDPR good work btw.

Minus the hype, this game is awesome

Let me preface this by saying that I never really followed the development of this game (or any game for that matter) and didn't really know what to expect or what was promised. As someone who has been playing games for more than two decades, I know that things get cut from final releases for various reasons, and what really counts is what is delivered and not what was said in some podcast during the development of the game. There is nothing in this game that is revolutionary, and that's ok, because it does what it was meant to do. Deliver an awesome adventure through a carefully and beautifully crafted world. Night city has got to be one of the most, if not THE most beautiful designed cities in gaming history. The whole place oozes with atmosphere and it contrasts great with the outer region of the city with it's desert setting. I loved clearing the map one side quest at a time, which as we can expect from CDPR have all interesting backstories and some of the side quest outright kept my butcheeks clenched. There is tons of things to do in the city, albeit for a limited time, after a while you run out of things to do and you have to keep doing the main story which is a great adventure. Gameplay in the beginning got me excited as I was introduced to many different playstyles but it quickly spirals out of control in the later levels and there isn't any challenge to the game even on the highest difficulty. A not very wise design decision is also the inability to reset the attribute points, meaning if you want to invest in a different playstyle you have to start a new character and play the game all over again, something i never do. Then there are the negatives. The game as it is has quite a few bugs which may or may not result in a gamebreaking experience. There are several quests that are still unfinished even though I finished them, and for the love of god get rid of the minimap its 2021 not 2001, its an outdated UI element that needs to be gone in todays age

Errr... WTF do I park my car?

Me? I love it! It's slick and stylish, and stabby and shooty and gory and ssssssssssexy! Yeah it's a little glitchy, but it's also the best kind of patchy (1.06 ATM). BONUS: It even plays pretty well on my borderline minimum spec PC, on MEDIUM settings!!!, without any issues. But that's just me... YOUR mileage may vary :-)

Flawed but great

Cyberpunk 2077 is a flawed game, and there is a lot of valid criticism. A common to be addressed is that it shipped in a horribly buggy state, though having started my playthrough roughly 1 month after the release I have to say I have encountered only a few bugs. When talking about the game I think it's reasonable to compare it to GTA, which is kind of the top dog of the genre, and I'd pick Cyberpunk over it anytime. Keeping that in mind, here's a quick breakdown of my thoughts for the game: - Combat: I love that Cyberpunk has so many options on how to handle battles. Shooters were never up my alley (Cyberpunk does it reasonably well for the genre), and Swords/Melee works decent (better than in say Skyrim, imho), but I love that Cyberpunk is a reasonably competent Stealth game too. Hacking is additional icing on the cake. - Story: The core story is pretty great by any standard, and I am impressed how well CDPR executed telling it. Side characters are a different story. I think they should have cut their number by about 30-50% so those who are left could shine more (now most are forgettable). - The World: Night City is great, but it lacks variety. I get that they were going for the dirty, grungy feel, but there's too many missions in such environments. When driving through the world one can see more variety, which leads to an issue: - Driving: I never felt that driving in Cyberpunk was satisfying. Basically no damage models, vehicles feel like rubber toys, little to do except accelerating and breaking. As a consequence I avoided driving whenever possible. Other points: - Map: It is a mess. Named POIs / Icons for orientation are very much missed. - Quests: More variety would be appreciated. The braindances are a nice idea, but are really tedious and take out tempo in practice. More driving-related missions would be a good change of pace if driving was more fun. - Character Editor: Great for any RPG, but more occasions where I see my character please.
