Brilliant with some flaws

Story- Any work of narrative fiction should set out to draw you in the world and its characters, If you treat cyberpunk as the RPG it is and allow yourself to be emotionally invested there is a well written deep story to explore. The main story is involved and side missions felt well written and relevant to the narrative. After the Witcher games I expected nothing less from CDPR and in this regard they didn't disappoint. Gameplay- Beyond quality of life issues which can be patched I see a lot of reviewers saying the gun play/melee system was poor. Respectfully I think they are missing the point of an RPG. Imagine playing COD, you start the game with the assumption you are a professional soldier, the process of developing those skills isn't why you are playing so it is disregarded. With an RPG that development is part of the experience, yes the melee and guns are bad at the start....because you are bad at using them. Over time and use these improve greatly and I found it very satisfying to see that improvement. The world- Many open world games are either big empty spaces or feel like every location was only designed because we are being sent there in the story. I didn't get that impression with Cyberpunk. Every allyway, street, building and shop felt part of the city and after 90+ hrs I am still finding new areas just existing because they are part of the world not to serve some story purpose. In this sense Cyberpunk sets a VERY high bar for all future open world games. Final points- Despite its flaws CDPR should be proud of what they have achieved here, as open world RPGs go nothing comes close. Personally I am most excited for future DLCs, post bug fixes and optimisation.The mammoth 8 year task of world building has been done now, the city feels alive and characters fleshed out. CDPR can now get down to what they are great at, storytelling and I for one can't wait to explore more of Night City and V's story. 2000 characters isnt enough to do this justice...

Incredible but needs some polish

in short - great and awesome game! runs well on a 1080ti in medium settings, still looking great and runs with 40-50 fps. --> A 'walk' button would be nice (for slow walk), also for driving.. ... atm i solved this with a mod. heads up and keep going guys.. you do a great job!

Couldnt ask for more....

If you wanted this game to run on a PS4, well, look at the recommended minimum specs. Your PS4 does not come close. If you wanted to run 288FPS on Ultra in 8K w full RTX, then go trade in your $3000 PC for a $10,000 one....you know the ones that DEVELOPERS use. I play w med to high settings w an AMD 2600 and a VEGA 56. Both of these products are outdated already, but I get 65-80 FPS. Complaining about the shooting? Go play Warzone Complaining about the RPG elements? Go play Baulders Gate, or Diablo. Complaining about the Keybinds, change them and deal with it. Complaining about a massive world RPG hybrid that has bugs and glitches? Go play GTA5, Fallout 3,4,76 and New Vegas, Skyrim or The Witcher 3. BUT! Go play them on launch day on a PS3. Honestly here, what was Projekt supposed to do? They promised a NEXT GEN GAME. PS4 is not next gen, I would have never catered to the last gen console owners if I were CD Projekt Red, but they attempted to make it work, APOLOGIZED, and offered full refunds to EVERYONE. I love this game. Hands down the best storytelling I have seen in a while, and that includes recent blockbuster movies. The mechanics are a meld of GTA 5, Deus Ex and Fallout. I love all three and love how they are combined here. I love leveling my sword to decapitate most enemies in one hit, I love hacking into networks to recieve money and weaken enemies, I love stalking the Poor NPC's and giving them a silenced pistol round to the back of the head. Boxing, needs work, but not my bag. Driving needs work, but nothing hits quite like driving in the less congested areas and looking around w the radio cranked up. Enemy AI is dumb but aside from maybe The Division 2, I dont think its any worse than the other AAA RPGs. CDPR does not deserve this backlash. They were forced to release early, and delivered the best they could. They should offer the first DLC for free to those who stuck through the launch to that they can have another serving of the haters tears. PC 8/10

Great Cyberpunk game

Like - 60 fps on Ultra with RTX (Geforce 2070) so no problem with optimization on my rig. - Reflections and lighting is best i have ever seen. - Main character models are top tier - No crashes - Beautiful world - Love quest Design - Main and side stories - Great characters who i want to know more about - Weapon design is amazing, model are great, animation is very good and sound is perfect - Clothes design is very fitting to cyberpunk game - Soundtrack is very good. Listening even outside of the game. Dislike - AI is very basic - Lack of interaction with the world - Driving with starter car is awful (some later cars are much better) - Some graphics bugs (NPC in wall, floating burger, etc.) - Wanted system is unfinished - Character customization is very limited (hairstyles, color of hair, etc.) - Cant rebind all controls - Sex scenes are very safe I hate Rockstar sandboxes so i am glad they have gone different route. Great action game with RPG elements. For me best game this year with Doom Eternal and Iron Harvest.
