Great game with some flaws

I did avoid the hype before the release, so I got into the game with a clear mind. And I love(d) it! CDPR knows how to create games that you don't want to stop playing. So there was always the "just one more gig" thing and it is really hard not to.. After 120h in I can really say it is a great game, but it needs some more "polish" to to be a perfect game. I didn't had any major bugs / crashes, more like glitches (for example phones / guns that didn't disappear / appear correct on caracters, or sometimes enemies that were stuck somewhere). Also sometimes the UI gets stuck and shows a item Tooltip for several minutes. In my 120h I had only one Crash to Desktop, thats it. So all in all it runs pretty well. But you have to keep in mind that you have to use the Graphics Ruler with care in the Setup - Raytracing looks great but on most systems it eats your Graphics Card for breakfast! What I missed most were some typical roleplaying elements, for example: - It is not possible to modify anything on your character after the creation. Not even the haircut! (Yeah yeah, you can modify your body with all the Cyberimplants, but why the hell is it not possible to change the color of your hair, or the cut?) - I would loved some mini-games implemented like Gwent in Witcher3. I have the feeling the world gives you so much possibilities. - The crafting / Inventory UI is not really intuitive, there is a lot of space for improvement there (why the hell can't I just create 10 cradles of ammo directly or with a queue?) To Round up some really good things in the game: - The Storytelling! CDPR really know how this is done! - The city! And the Badlands! It looks stunning and alive! - The Character Design, Panam, Rouge, Jacky, Jonny and so on are really really great For me one of the best games I played in a few years! It has still some flaws, but I really enjoyed it! Hope there will be some DLCs or even Expansions to expand the experience even more! :)

Great despite of bugs

When i started playing, i was afraid that bugs and glitches would ruin the experience for me, but i couldn't be more wrong. Quests, dialogues and characters are so well written, combined with awesome motion capture movements and facial expressions create incredibly immersive world that i'm sad i already finished all activies i could. I can only wait for DLC's i will definetly buy right on the premiere. Agreed, there are some bugs that sometimes can be irritating, but i couldn't care less about them when i was surrounded with such incredible world. 10/10 experience, i wish i could forget it all and play again for the first time and experience it one more time.

Excellent game

This is excellent RPG game, all RPG aspects are done very well: interesting main story, NPCs, side quests, many game play options (melee/ranged weapons/stealth/hacking and correspondent skills tree/weapon/implants), missions can be done different ways. Interestingly enough, those who criticized this game as RPG did not give example of their ideal RPG that has it all done better, probably such ideal RPG does not exist. As for bugs, I noticed only few, none critical and they did not prevent me from playing and enjoying the game. To be honest I do not remember any game that I played that did not have bugs like that.

Incredible, up there with The Witcher 3

A deeply engaging narrative with a huge amount of replayability. Despite taking successful mechanics from other games it is still quite experimental. Choices have subtle consequences changing the world and your relationships with characters which you wouldn't realise until a 2nd playthrough. Cinematic setpieces are balanced with open mission design allowing a plethora of ways to complete an objective. The main story is much shorter than The Witcher 3 but the side content is a lot more fleshed out here. Police scanners, gigs and side quests tell intertwining stories which explore the dark setting. The graphics look spectacular on my GTX 1080 which is of course, without ray tracing. The city itself is astonishing to explore but there is a caveat. Like The Witcher 3, the game expects you to be completing quests and objectives constantly. This didn't bother me but I expect those who were looking forward to a lot of GTA-style free roam interaction were disappointed. Ultimately CDPR were misleading with their marketing, released the game too early and managed to pick up a few other controversies along the way (e.g. epilepsy BD sequence, Devotion removal). There are still bugs and optimisation issues and the way they hid console footage before release was predatory. Even with all that, it's still one of the best games I've ever played. By all means wait for some patches, maybe for the inevitable GOTY edition but do play this game at some point.
