A dense and safisfying experience

I have played the game so far for about 15 hours on 3 different PC's using version 1.03 installed via GOG Galaxy. Other than a few graphical glitches such as a floating phone and one critical enemy flying around in an elevator I have had no other graphical glitches. I have had no crashes to desktop, freezes or game breaking bugs on my i5 9400F (1060 6Gb). Other reviews indicated poor performance or requiring a high end machine to run it. That hasn't been my experience. On the i5 9400F (1060 6Gb) machine I get no stutter with frame rates around 45fps on 1080p using the high preset. With my i5 9600K (GTX 1080) at the same settings 60+ fps and on the I7 10700K (RTX 3080) using RT and DLSS ~ 60fps at 4K. The i5 9600K has crashed once to desktop and exhibited more graphical bugs/glitches than the i5 9400F, I noticed that installing the game on the SSD (9400F) exhibited less bugs/crashing than on a HDD (i5 9600K) maybe that's why an SSD is recommend? As for the game, it has one of the most stunning urban environments I have ever played in. The textures, the character polygonal complexity, the skyline vertically is simply breathtaking. Yes the NPCs on the street don't have any meaningful conversations with you, but I'm not sure what everyone expects there are hundreds of them and this has to run on (or not) on a PS4! The story so far has been compelling with well performed voice acting and great set pieces. I have found the driving to be great fun and more realistic than previews indicated. The gun play has been very satisfying, especially shotguns with the ability to knock enemies over. The one thing I have found is you become very powerful very quickly on normal mode. Note I play with an Xbox One Controller but agree with the keybinding issues mentioned (such as F the key). The game is a technological marvel and I have spent many hours just wandering around in it. I would highly recommend it and no doubt the inevitable patches should improve things further.

Temper your expectations.

Lots of reviewers are acting like they had never played Bethesda games. The game itself is good as is with only graphics bugs marring the experience. Most of the reviews were made in the early game on day one, so if those reviews bother you, wait before buying the game. Otherwise, you can enjoy it now while the bugs are still here and join the fun in experiencing them before they're gone. Nothing gamebreaking for me yet. And most of them were a source of surprise laughs. The load times were also quite fast for an open world game. The keyboard binding is a legitimate issue that I think they could have done better at launch. Binding crouch and skip cutscenes on one key was a source of many unfortunately skipped scenes. Other than that, the game itself is great and the world is beautiful, alive and interesting. Just set your expectations correctly that this is an open world game and you will not be getting the best experience if you have an old system.

On an old gaming laptop...

A great game, it stays smooth even with a PC configuration that is 3 years old (with nvidia GTX 1050, i7 7700 and 16Go RAM). Apart from a few bugs that they will surely fix in a future patch, everything is Cyberneticly ok. I LOVE THIS MASTERPIECE ! PLUS POINTS : - A magnificent futuristic atmosphere - A well-crafted scenario - Cutting-edge RPG management - Good graphics MINUS POINTS : - Some graphical bugs - Car driving is not that easy

All in all a wonderfull expierience

I love Cyberpunk allready for their love to detail and eastereggs to the biggis of scfi. The game still needs fixes of all the glitches but there was no error which destroyed my gaming experience. Can highly recommend.

A great game with some (solvable) issues

Beware, english is not my first language! I like the game very much, it is just suffering from some starting issues. The keyboard settings arent fully customizable and the overall menue navigation is - using mouse and keyboard - kind of bad, it feels clunky and unintuitive. There are some bugs here and there but it runs decently. I dont like the loot overkill and the clothing system isnt too satisfying either. But all these things are fixable and some might not even need fixing because they are a matter of taste and not a matter of quality. Seperate from these issues (which are rather small compared to the complexity of this game) cyberpunk is a remarkable experiance. I love the flow of the game, the huge variety in possible gameplay styles, the very well crafted charcter system, the gunplay (it gets critized often so i have to emphasize on that: i like it.) the melee, the story, the characters, the writing, the pacing,´the graphic and sound design, the level design, the artstyle, the music, the dialogues, the THICK atmosphere. Gameplaywise it might not be "the next big step" but in my opinion it all fits together very well. It simply is fun to play. Most of its gameplay possibilities arent revolutionary or the best in their genre. Doom has better gunplay, the last of us 2 has better facial animations, forza has better car handling, dark souls has better sword fights, etc, etc. But here in this game they all come together, they all are fun and embedded in this fantastic world and amazing story. It all forms a greater picture which truly stands out and is bigger than all of its parts are, when looked at seperately. 4 out of 5 stars because of its issues, but i dont doubt that they are going to be resolved, in which case i'll gladly change my review to 5 out of 5.
