Cyberpunk 2077

Bad game. Not an RPG.

I have 30hrs into the game so far doing a lot of side missions as well. First of all, a lot of ppl are complaining that the game is not a real RPG. From an aspect they might be correct but I must disagre with them. During the conversations the player must make choices you can deny requests. Not to mention that you can customize your outfit your guns, etc. I would say it's not an oldschool RPG like Faloutt 1-2 but it's an RPG like RDR2. All in all I think the story aspect of the game is amazing. It's complex and interesting. Secondly, the graphics are nice but regardless of the recomneded specifications a GTX1060 6GB is not enough to make the game shine but still it does the job. You can play it on medium settings with 40fps. The bugs have been fixed since the disastrous start. You might find some minor glitches but nothing serious. I think I found aprox. 5-6 minor visual glitches within 30hrs. The only downside of the game is the AI of the NPCs. I mean it's kind of a mess how they behave. Mostly they do not react to the envoriment or they run away from you frightened to death. On the other hand I have to praise the AI of the NPCs that are actually involved in the story of the game. They are awesome. Keanu Reeves as Johnny Silverhand is amazing. All in all folks it's a great game that had a disastrous start, it was released before it was completed. Also ppl were super hyped and they were about to play with the best game of all time. The expectations were so high that it was impossible to accomplish. This game (after the patches) is great without any question it is just not the greatest of all time. So don't overthink, purchase it and play it. You won't regret.

Even after almost 2 years from release and the game is still a distaster with the same types of people in denial and trying to defend it - which is why games like this exist in the first place! Multiple times I've had NPC mission progression paused becasue the game isn't updating to the next part of the mission. A save icon will continuously spin while you wait and wait and wait. A "quick save" but no "quick load".... in 2022. Loading the game is mostly impossible due to the game not showing previous saves to load from. The game has to exit to main menu to load everything again. Other times, the game needs to be forced shut down then re-opened to load a save. In one part near the beginning of the game, Jackie turns into a revenant from DOOM. His guns become stuck to his wrists while in an elevator which is laughable that the devs can't even fix this. Another part of the game near the start where you rescue a women from a bath tub, Jackie will walk through a metal cabinet sending the contents flying out then Jackie continues walking as if this is normal. CDPR claiming to have relesed updates to fix this game are lies. I thought I'd give them a 2nd chance as it's been nearly 2 years since release at the time of writing this review and the game being on 50% sale. Still not worth it !!! I have not played a worse, more frustrating game in ages. Cheating, aimbotting enemies when your own shooting leaves a lot to be desired, a more recent patch that apparently made even easy mode much more demanding and designed to just suck as much fun and enjoyment out of the game as possible. And a really a BS death out of nowhere that was a one shot that I have no idea how it even happened! Enemy was shooting at me. I was trying to keep out of the way of the bullets and just fell and "Died" (did not count as far as I am concerned) And it was on EASY difficulty! I cannot remember the last time I have just screamed while playing a game like I have with this. And wake up angry and miserable because of it, I just wish I could get my money back and forget this game and these AWFUL dev's ever existed. If you would make easy mode actually easy again like it apparently used to be, or just improve player shooting and tone down the enemy aimbotting some, that would actually make the game decent, if not outright good. But this is absolutely worthless at this time. (There were other problems too, but it would take FAR too long to list all of them.) Maybe it will be better with another patch or 3, But I am not that optimistic at this time.
