Cyberpunk 2077

Game ended for me in from of Dex's booth door that won't open. A bug reported first in 2022, fully blocking any further progress of the gave and still not fixed and no way around it from developers. Countless other small bugs i've spotted even before getting to this door, which is a middle of Act 1 of the game makes me think that this game will never be fixed.

I bought this game a while back on discount, had a bit of fun with the early stages of the game, but decided to put it aside on hearing the massive 2.0 patch was going to overhaul huge swathes of the game. Patch 2.0 is here - and the game I was getting good performance from ~3 months ago now will not launch at all. I've tried uninstalling, scouring all trace of mods and old saves off my hard drive, using a set of drivers that were released TODAY with THIS GAME all over the marketing, nothing. I can't get to the title screen. most annoyingly, I'd just pre-ordered the expansion pack after rave reviews so I'm now in the hole for the price I paid for this and an extra £25. Hearing a lot of professional reviewers eulogize about how far this came has come since the notorious launch but this patch for me has taken it from a 7/10 game, quite fun, atmospheric.... to just a big blog of 55GB junk data on my SSD.

I can't believe how the game just sucked 6 hours of me literally just doing nothing but roaming around. I was amazed by every single detail. Corpo meeting Jackie for the first time, oh man, it felt like I was in Blade Runner movie while the car was driving me to the bar. Then it just got better :) The ui once again is console based, so most of the stuff doesn't follow pc logic (takes a bit time to get used to it, simillar to the witcher one). I didn't experience any crashes or major bugs, just minor details like npc missing a soda he's supposed to drink outside V's apartment. There is some weird hair issue tho, probably anti aliasing thing, but those are the only issues I've encountered so far. The world is just amazing and it really feels like a mix of everything (good) that CP genre had to offer over the years!

While I was able to play it, it was great but, 8 crashes later and I can't boot from my hard drive anymore, I'm attempting to re-install windows now but, I might just be out of my nvme that I can't afford to replace so, thanks. I didn't have any problems before cyberpunk .

Great visuals, and i am not just talking about the graphics, i am talking about the art style. It's original, enticing. It's something i looked for and didn't find in the latest deus ex. I am far from finishing the game, so may be i'll revisit this part, but so far I am loving the story! This is an RPG game, not an FPS game. In fact the FPS combat might just be the weakest link here. Playing it on a pc it looks great and seems greatly optimized. However I did experience the kind of issues reported on consoles, i had to update to the latest GPU drivers for it to work smooth. I really hope the story remains as good as it started, and if that's how it will be - i hope for more content and entries in this magnificent world.
