Avoid this stinker at all costs
I bought the playstation version when it came out. The graphics were awful, the game was a half-assed rush job that I abandoned after a couple of hours. It's a shit-stain on the good name of Might & Magic. To this day I have never purchased any M&M titles (to my loss) due to the scars left on my psyche by this atrocity.

The running game
OK game, but you will spend a lot of time running from one spot to another. Maybe use a cheat code to turn slew on to get from one place to another faster would make things better (that is what I did).

Only for desperate
CoM&M tries to be a blend of RPG and an action adventure game, but falls short on doing both of them. Gameplay mechanics themselves aren't that bad: the combat is solid, if not repetetive, and only the platforming sequences are clunky and frustrating. What ruins the game is a big world full of people, which soon turns out to be totally empty and devoid of interesting NPCs or reasons to interact with enviroment. That means a lot of walking through uninteresting landscapes, whic cheaply increases the length of the game. There are a lot of better action/adventure games with RPG elements to chose from, so I see no reason for spending time and money on such an average title.

The only reason I picked this up was because it was oddly nostalgic for me. It is a bad game and should only be purchased for my reasonings or to poke fun at. Terrible graphics for the time, horrid sound and voice acting. Dodgy controls and combat, weapons and armor that are not exciting to use. Bland story, and often level design is very dull with wide open areas with nothing to do until you find another enemy to slay..

Don't judge it like another M&M
First of all, i can understand those who take this game as a waste, but it's not quite like that. Yes, i can admit, if you take it as another game from brilliant M&M series, it's dissapointing as hell. But if you will find courage to drow deeper into the process, you'll see that it was only the most interesting experiment to mix the genre (unlike Drakan: Order of the Flame, of course, because in Crusaders there is a lot more RPG elements than in Drakan). Yes, it's not that good. But it's not that bad as well. I'm enjoying this game, and hope you would too.
