To help her cope with this move, her friend Ayumi has devised a seemingly innocent plan: the whole group will come together to perform a charm she found on the internet called “Sachiko Ever After,” which is supposed to bind all of its participants together as friends to the end.
This does not go as expected.
Corpse Party is the original Windows edition of the cult classic horror game that gained a considerable fanbase when released on Sony’s PlayStation®Portable system in 2011. Beginning life as an independent RPG Maker adventure title in 1996, the gameplay was greatly refined and the story greatly expanded for this 2008 iteration, featuring more characters, more detailed interactions, darker story elements, over 5,000 lines of voice-acting and dozens of shocking, gruesome endings. Players take control of nine main characters and several side characters who’ve been split up into groups of two or three and trapped in a run-down, otherworldly elementary school full of vengeful spirits, deadly mysteries and – of course – corpses. As they walk around examining objects and bodies in an atmospheric 2D environment, a horror tale spanning over 50 years begins to unfold, and player choices determine both how the story ends and who lives to see it through.

This is a port of the first remake of corpse party, is a good game, but i think the definitive edition would be the 2021 port of repeated fear. But well, for about 2 bucks and Linux support (with a little tweaks), this game is a must buy for me and some other people.
Working on Linux Mint 21.3 64bits, you must install sdl2-image-2.0-0:i386, sdl2-ttf-2.0-0:i386 and libvorbisfile3:i386 in order to make the game run, maybe can run in a 32bits system without doing this.
Es un juego para leer, ya que tiene mucha historia. Nueve amigos se ven separados en grupos y tratan de reencontrase, de modo que cada grupo va desarrollando su propia historia y se va entrelazando con las de los demás. Las desiciones cuentan, crees que lo que haces sería lo más seguro pero terminarás matando algúno de tus compañeros sin querer, así que ve guardando periódicamente porque será cuestión de prueba y error. Muy recomendable.
Horror done right. No jumpscares, no darkness, just your story, characters and atmosphere.
I think the voice acting here is the absolute best. The VAs are so invested that whenever they sob, or scream, or are about to go crazy, or whatever they're doing, you can really feel it in your stomach.
Ayumi is best girl - fight me.
