Hit and Miss
Good premise and worldbuiding. Creative plot with nice twists. Sadly got a few bugs which leed to CTD's. Enemies often get Bulletspongy while you can't tank anything. Many enemy ranged attacks which 1 shot or nearly 1 shot you track, so if you got good reflexes they just curve around cover and kill you.

Le design narratif est excellent et les fights sont très agréables : Il faut être mobile, alterner entre pouvoirs, armes et utilisation du décor. Un excellent jeu sous côté. Foncez !

Great game, terrible performance
The game itself is great. It might get repetitive sometimes, but usually it is just crazy, chaotic action. The different weapon forms and powers provide a decent enough variety to tackle opponents. The story is interesting, but to really understand what is going on you will need to find most of the collectibles. The constant enemy respawning can get annoying, but is great for achievments/bonus missions. All in all - totally worth it. My only disappointment comes from bugs: 1. One of optional bosses straight up crashes the game and it happens across releases, stores and systems. 2. DirectX 12 is very buggy, at least on RX card - high memory usage, low FPS and stutters in some areas (read as going from 60 to 14 FPS, when entering empty room). Textures won't load properly when set on High or Ultra. The problems don't exist when paying under DirectX 11. 3. Enabling ResizeBar makes the performance worse by 25-30%. 4. The screen blur (not Motion blur) makes the game look like you have condensation on your screen. The effect can be mitigated by using ReShade or AMD Image Sharpening. 4½. RayTracing is debatable - game looks fine/better without it, but it is down to personal preference. Waiting for Control 2 release. :)

A lore-fiend's dream...
In a word, this game is very unbalanced in what it offers the player. When it's at it's best, the game stands with the greats offering cooler arenas and locations then I have seen in just about any other game I have ever played and facing off with interesting and different creatures that are actually fun to figure out, despite it's punishing nature. But it needs time to build up to this and once it's shown you all the enemies it has, the battle quickly loses it's luster and just becomes an obstacle you have to get through before the interesting details can begin leaking out to you again about the world itself. It's a shame, really, but it makes the game both easy and tough to recommend at the same time. If you are a lore-fiend, you will find a lot to love here, but you will likely cheat your way through before you finish to just stop getting aggravated when some guy you didn't know appeared behind you launched a missile up your ass and now you have to trudge all the way back to the battle to try again. If you are an action fiend, you will likely love the challenge at first, but get bored with the same waves of exploding guys followed by flying guys, followed by walking guys you will see for most of the game. While the world building works very well, the action gameplay supporting it stops doing so well before you finish, be it from frustration or boredom, depending on your game-style. And to this end I would say check it out if you can get it on sale. I'd hate to miss that story and some of the coolest battles for the sake of the lamer ones, but I wouldn't want to have spent full price because of them.

Mon coup de coeur
C'est un jeu qui vaut 4/5 en terme de gameplay. C'est nerveux et bien pensé mais ça n'est pas incroyable ou révolutionnaire pour autant. Par contre, pour l'ambiance, le coté paranormal très bien fait et les doublages (en anglais) je mets 5/5. J'ai adoré.
