Awesome STILL
This game gets the mix between 3D and 2D Space RTS so right. The graphics are very dated but still effective. Would benefit from a remaster greatly. Stellaris takes the formula much further, but this is the seminal title for this gameplay style.

Good old Game
german below/deutsch unten Nice game with rare gameplay design. Your maps are connectet though wormholes, that gives the map design a new layer of strategy, what few games use. Because its an old game it comes with problems running the game. It crashed when started, curser was sluggish and have to use only one monitor otherwise it does not work. the fixes others wrote in their review with changing some part (RendSft => Rend0) to stop the crashing works with Windows 11. Same goes for the Problem with the mouse. just google sluggish mouse and the game name and there is a gog forum post about it. But I haven't found out how to use more than one monitor at the same time and have the game working. I would give 5 stars if it were more compatible with newer systems. schönes Spiel mit einer seltenen Spielmechanik. Es sind mehrere Karten über Wurmlöcher verbunden und ermöglichen so Taktiken die noch immer recht selten im Strategiespielen sind. Da es ein recht altes Spiel ist hat es ein paar Probleme wenn man es zum laufen bekommen will. Ich musste einiges in einer Datei anpassen (dass das Spiel beim Starten nicht abstürzt und das der Curser nicht so träge ist) und kann nur einen Bildschirm beim spielen nutzen. Das ändern von eineigen Teilen wie RendSft => Rend0 hat die crashes auch bei Windows 11 behoben (wie auch in andern Rezensionen angesprochen) und für das Problem mit der Maus: einfach nach "sluggish mouse" googeln und den Namen des Spiels dazu und da ist ein GoG Forumspost dazu. Das man mehrere Monitore gleichzeitig nutzen kann habe ich noch nicht gefunden. Ich würde dem Spiel 5 Sterne geben wenn es kompatibler mit modernen Systemen wäre.

game is bit old but still good its not hard to get whats what played it years ago glad i can go back to it

A must have if you like space RTS games
One of the best sci-fi RTS games of its time. Good stroryline and cutscenes, nice effects (damaged ships look really good), and a well thought out resource and gameplay system (HERO Units were awesome :D ). This was a very good looking game in its time (but it's quite bad by todays standards). It's similar to Sins of a Solar Empire but it focuses more on the story.

Still a great game and a real gem
I don't have much to say, other than this is still a great RTS. I recommand the game for LAN parties. I had to support the game when I learned that they plan to release the source code for CQ1 and CQ2. Buy this is you like space and RTS. BTW: You can run this game in 1920x1080 or higher if you don't run the game with win95 compatibility settings.
