Commandos Ammo Pack

This game was hard from the beginning.Even the first mission.But after a few missions I played the first mission again and realized how easy this first mission in fact was.This game really is a brain-breaker.Its a real-time "puzzle" game with an addiction factor of 10.I'm really happy its on GOG now, cause I lost my original disk somehow.

I must have played through this at least 10 times, because it's just that good! It's a classic strategy game that's all about careful placement of your commandos, timely actions and clever solutions. The Beyond the Call of Duty expansion consists of 8 pretty hard missions (The original "Behind Enemy Lines" was much easier in comparison), that are very satisfying to beat! It's absolutely stunning how the game of its age can STILL look great 19 years later after its release. Gameplay is highly addictive, once you reconcile yourself with the sad fact that you are going to die and reload often (you will eventually get better). But it really does deliver a feeling of satisfaction when you see your elaborate plan being smoothly executed. Great job, Eidos!

Commandos is not a squad tactical shooter. It is a puzzle in which each mission has you deconstruct a scenario, and complete tasks with your severely outgunned soldiers. There is no shame in quicksaving, since this is about figuring out the map, and not necessarily reflexes (well, not ALL reflexes.) And when you plan comes together, and all your soldiers come out alive, you'll feel pretty accomplished.

Commandos Behind Enemy Lines does not work on Windows 10. The expansion pack Beyond the Call of Duty works fine though
