Clive Barker's Undying

An okay horror title, gameplay isn't really smooth.

I found the game pretentious and trying too hard to be a horror game by startling the player. The plot, playacting and voiceacting is really low quality and childish. I finished the game and it unfortunately does not get better as the story progresses. The layout of the levels with the arbitrarily closed doors is also quite annoying. I gave the game two stars because it runs without any technical issues and the dual weapon-spell based gameplay can be fun at times.

Horrible story, boring combat, and uninspired level design. A frustrating experience that I wouldn't recommend to anyone.

This game could have been absolutely great, but even for its time, it's instead just frustrating and confusing. If you want to wander around similar looking environments for hours wondering what obscure thing the game wants you to do next, this is your game. I mean this is YOUR GAME. On the contrary If you want a game that's fun and progresse in a natural, logical, entertaining way, look elsewhere.

Just using simple mathematics i could have told you this game would be bad before you even released it. 2mph runespeed and 1mile long maps with no waypoints = guaranteed bad time I understand this game is old but where does the stupid come from? I wasnt dumb 20 years ago just because it was 20 years ago. Puzzles in games are not valuable. They never were. It just took us a while to realize it. Mobile gaming has taught us the puzzle games are less than worthless, There are thousands of puzzle games uploaded to google play each day. Puzzles are what you make when you dont have a video game and need to force the player to stick around longer
