Not what you think, but still great and terribly fun
(Review not based on GOG version) TL;DR: Puzzle+minigames with great laughs. Recommended for people looking for something fun and different, or maybe even to play with children. I have finished playing Chuchel and IMHO it's very worth it. It's very fun and has great slapstick humour, I got many laughs throughout it. However, it is not a point-and-click graphic adventure like Samorost 3 or Machinarium. There's a simple story, and many scenes feeling very puzzly but that's about it. If you want your dose of graphic adventure, you'll be disappointed by this great game. The game isn't too long, there are 30 scenes, and there are three types of scenes. Some just require you to click throught them, and you just enjoy them. Others are simple but entertaining puzzles until you find the right combination of things to do, and this is the only part that might feel like the puzzles from graphic adventures. And finally there are minigames where you must jump, dodge, hit or whatever is needed in a variety of environments, including some twisted and fun interpretations of Tetris, Pac-Man or Space Invaders. Special things done in certain scenes grant one of the seven achievements. Visuals and music are quirky, twisted, strange, fun, and twisted (yes, twice twisted). All for comedy and laughs, and that's where the game excels. It's terribly entertaining and funny, albeit a bit twisted humour. No, I'm not abusing that adjective. It's a surely different experience with all the quality expected from Amanita Design. It might not be the best game in the universe, but it's a great experience to have for all ages. Let children play it by them or with them, maybe they'll need some help in some scenes but surely they'll enjoy it, as adults will do. Price is about right, althought for the current price I would have expected soundtrack and artbook included. Maybe you can wait until it drops to 5-6 bucks, but maybe you can't because, if I haven't said it, it's too fun to miss.
