Why didn't I play this sooner
Such a great game. The class variety and build choices are very good. The games plot is nothing to write home about but killing baddies over and over feels good. Being able to respec anytime is a great choice. You can easily change your skills just by visiting your home town.

Absolutely Amazing
Sure, the GFX look like they come from some time between SNES and N64, but you will very quickly forget to notice once you get into it. This game is what torchlight wishes it were, and I quite enjoyed that franchise. Addicting gameplay, tons of skill combos, plenty of gear, and you can respec pretty much whenever you want for no cost. Multiple skills on a single key-bind make for some stupid powerful builds without the need to macro or micromanage timers. Absolutely worth it at full price, it's a steal at any discount.

No need to wait for a discount!
This game is a masterpiece! Totally worth the full price. You'll have so much great content to enjoy that anything bellow the full price is a steal. Plenty of build defining itens, skills and combos to explore. The gameplay is addicting and the gereral pace is also really good (you start slowly but soon you become a god). Couldn't recommend it more for anyone who loves this genre!

Good ARPG but some Annoyances
I caught the ARPG bug due to Diablo 4 coming out (which sadly did not live up to its expectations), I went down the rabbit hole and bought a bunch of games resembling the whole looting experience. Chronicon stuck out to me as it was highly praised. The game is a fun pixelated Diablo type of game with tons of loot, mobs, and different classes to choose from (along with enough skills to make the build of your dreams). Now the gameplay itself, while it's fun, it becomes a boring slog near the end. I understand it's a loot and kill type of game, but it just feels shallow and redundant in some parts. After you kill the 1,000,000th enemy, you really want the game to end. Overall, it's a good time killer, but you are better off with Grim Dawn or even Titan Quest for that ARPG experience.

Painful visuals
My eyes are particularly weak, but i've played a lot of games, and not even the most visually intensive and dynamic ones can come close to how fast Chronicon tires me out. The safe area has jarring tiling and painfully bright flickering lights. The levels are so dark, i have to squint to tell what's going on. When you pause the game, it puts up a torturous motion-blur-like filter on the screen. I like the skill tree and the gameplay itself feels great, but the eye strain is just not worth it.
