Quite buggy experience

The game starts off well and has a nice vibe about it. Unfortunately, it seems to be still full of bugs. Can't open the game menu, it just shows a blank screen at first. After a couple of tries I got dropdowns with no labels attached. I got to the autumn party, then all of a sudden the textboxes went way. The story proceeded, but I have no clue what has happened (and in this case, it seems that was the rather important part). Next thing I'm trying to sort out my dad's spice shelv, but it's impossible since the screen stays black. Might be nice someday, but currently - meh.

Almost perfect, except the last Chapter.

The game it's gorgeous, good experience, great experience, intriguing story. BUT... The END it's SOOO BAD! I think the problem it's that this mystery game leave you with no answers in the end. WHY?! When you play a mistery game, you expect that anything (or most of the things) you want to know it will be revealed in the last part of the game. This never happens for "Children of Silentown". Instead, to you is presented a strong and independent woman. So ... no CATHARSIS in the end!

Creepy, Cute, and Thoroughly Heartfelt

This Point-and-Click Adventure is about life in a town surrounded by forests filled with howling monsters... no, not that one. It's a semi-agrarian society due to its isolation, and the biggest rule is not to make too much noise, lest *they* hear you. Naturally, there is a greater mystery beneath the surface, and just as naturally, you will be the one to dive deeper into it. What follows is an intriguing and poignant tale with a fair amount of depth to it. The world is stunning, and personally, I like the creepy, dead-eyed look that all the townspeople have to them; that was what drew me in in the first place. Puzzles are a little all over the place; the standard inventory puzzles are fine, but there are three types of recurring puzzles that happen when you sing to an object, depending on which song you sing. The first song's puzzles are interesting and engaging. The *goal* of the second song's puzzles is clear, but the actual *mechanics* aren't explained all that well. I had to look up the third song's puzzles because I honestly never figured out what I was even supposed to do with them, and the description didn't help. Still, walkthroughs exist, and what's beneath the surface is absolutely worth experiencing.

I loved it

Very nice game. No bug encountered. Nice intriguing story. Very nice characters, specially the children. Nice dialogs. Good localization (French). The puzzles are interesting sometimes not so easy. The end is full of hope and at the same time leaves us with our hunger to know more. I wanted to finish the game to leave my point of view.

Children of silent town

Simple twist on a point & click. Heavy narrative but constantly captivating. I highly recommend.
