Visceral, Gory, Fun

Carrion is a "reverse-horror" game, where you essentially play as an amorphous red monster made of teeth and tentacles. You wreck havoc in an underground labratory. It features a really fun blend of stealth and action horror mechanics, with some metroidvania elements. It's graphically beautiful, featuring some of the most detailed sprite-work I've seen in a 2D game, and features a really fitting atmospheric-industrial soundtrack. It can be a little confusing to get around due to a lack of a map, but overall it's a very well made game, that is a lot of fun. Nice game but very short

I'ts a metroidvania where you are the monster and have to overrun and escape a facility where you are created. There is combat, robots, puzzles, upgrades but not a map, sorry. Even then there is a kind of main hud zone which is the only part where you can really get lost. The controls are two buttons of the keyboard and the mouse which helps in aiming the tentacles. It's very short even with the dlc and the demo, in 5 hours i managed the 100 %. Get in on sales for cost worth duration, otherwise it's a fun game.

Très bon

La démo m'avait intéressé (Jouer la créature de "The thing" ? Je dis oui !), mais j'avais quelques doutes sur ce que ça pouvait donner sur la longueur. J'avais tort : ce n'est pas qu'une bonne idée vite adaptée. Le jeu est très bien conçu, et très solide de bout en bout. La créature est très agréable à diriger. Certaines manipulations manquent un peu de précision, mais c'est cohérent (on ne dirige pas un ingénieur) et ça fait partie du gameplay. Le level-design est excellent ! Sans carte, on a constamment l'impression d'être complètement paumé, mais le jeu parvient à nous faire systématiquement retomber sur nos pattes, et à nous remettre dans le droit chemin. Le gameplay est plus riche qu'il n'en a l'air au premier abord, avec différents niveau de puissance et pouvoirs, qu'il faudra choisir selon la situation à affronter. Il y a même un léger aspect infiltration à certains moments. Le jeu m'a tenu en haleine jusqu'à sa fin, qui m'est tombée dessus un peu par hasard, ce que j'ai beaucoup apprécié. Au final un excellent jeu, très agréable, et parfaitement dosé. J'ai particulièrement apprécié, et je ne regrette pas mon achat. Si le concept vous tente : foncez !

Great game that exceeded my expectations

One of the RARE pleasant surprises in recent game development, considering the genre and platform. Gameplay feels really great, puzzles makes you think, overall difficulty is titillating, especially (like in the good old days of gaming) you have to keep map inside your head. Love the graphics, no "candy shell" BS and ambient makes this game stand out for me. Great job devs! Really enjoyed it!
