Carmageddon Max Pack

forget nascar. try hitting all the pedestrians to win a race! or killing your opponenets. or just run the race. this game also had the best soundtrack for its time.

I've been playing this serie for over 20 years already, it's the only game I play regulary all this time. Never got bored. There's something special in Carmageddon, real childhood experience everytime I turn it on. Awesome, brave twisted rules of "races", dark humour, satisfying damage model... If you had fun 2 decades ago - you won't regret buying this one and bringing back good memories. Honestly I prefer to play without 3dfx and with rather medium/low settings, reminds me good old times even more. ;)

It is Carmageddon, carnage, blood, gore, great humor and a soundtrack. What's not to love? Well, for one thing I had hoped for a glide wrapper to be included and at least give us to option to play in glide mode, but that isn't the case. I also read it would come with some special high-end graphics on the Carmageddon forum, but that isn't the case. A bit disappointed as other users had posted screenshots of their dosbox version of Carmageddon, and they made it look a lot more pretty. Still, I don't think it'll be hard to add nglide or another wrapper, but just be aware that you have to work it out yourself.

What can I say - there's nothing before it and there's nothing after it. Carmaggedon series is the C in Carnage. A car racing game that is closely resembling Death Race 2000, Carmaggedon is way more brutal - winning a race is not important, it's shoving your opponent's face in the dirt. That is - wrecking other drivers, killing pedestrians, wildlife - those things will get you points. There's almost no way you can win a race by just going through the checkpoints - bloodlust is a part of the equation. It's not a game for nice people or faint-hearted. It's certainly a game for psychos, wannabe killers and everyone that loves senseless violence. So all of the mentioned above, warm up your engine - it's Carmaggedon time.
