Carmageddon Max Pack

Right now I am grinning like Max on the cover art. My long-lost love is back. I could not believe my ears when I first heard the news of Carmageddon Reincarnation Kickstarter, and I almost literally popped a monocle when I heard Carmageddon Max Pack is coming to GoG. But let's talk about the game. This game will pit you onto many different locations, ranging from idyllic landscapes to rock quarries, cities and waste processing plants with architecture making you wonder where I can get those same mushroom as the designer. The gameplay is simple, with 3 different victory conditions. You can complete the predetermined number of laps on the track. Very rarely used as the race usually quickly turns into brutal bloodbath with only one objective: Kill or be killed. Which is the usual way the races go. The last and most rare condition is to kill every single living pedestrian (human or animal) in the area, which takes a *very* long time as most tracks have hundreds of "peds". The cars handle pretty well, they are not exactly super-realistic but every character comes with their own, twisted personality with a car tailored to their personal liking. They all behave differently and suit different styles oof play, so everyone will find their favourite pretty quickly once you "acquire" them. The way the cars handle in the game is that I personally love the mixture of arcade and realism, allowing me to do wheelspins in those pools of pedestrian blood. Don't wait. Buy it. Experience it. Release the road-rage in a safe environment. It has everything a chemically unbalanced driver needs. Insane and twisted characters, amazong and fun tracks, power-ups, and great soundtrack by Fear Factory (if I remember correctly).

When I got the original I was immediately addicted, the whole scenario was so outlandish and gruesome it was hilarious, I love it! but that wasn't enough, I had to have more! I bought C2 a llil bit after its release, but wasn't able to find Splat Pack (expansion for original) for quite some time. Didn't matter, they're all good, great stress relief- and helps against gridlock related syndromes. a Win/Win all the way around. Don't let the buy-line fool ya, you don't have to be chemically imbalanced to play these, but they will definitely give the sadistic part of you something to smile about. ╚(•⌂•)╝

I remember playing this game when I was a kid. It was a demo, and although we only had access to maybe 5 levels, the game was fun in a large variety of ways. Since levels could be completed in multiple ways by meeting different criteria you could blow up all your opponents or race your way to victory. Some of the more fun moments went into when you went multi-player. I remember me and my bro facing off, me with the rock upgrade and him with invincibility, went at 100mph at eachother and since his car was lighter it went like 5000ft into the air and was spinning for 5 minutes. Course his invincibility ran out before he landed so I won that round.... :P Definitely one to pick up and play if you feel like racing or making mayhem, preferably at the same time.

I bought this last year (in fact I think to the day), as I no longer had access to the original disc that belongs to my brother and for such a cheap price how can anyone pass this up? It's such a great game and I have such good memories of playing this for hours on end. If you love driving and mowing down people to release the frustration of road rage and playing chicken with other cars without fear of death then this is the ONLY game that will satisfy your thirst for blood!!

The GOG version is absolutely fantastic and with the win95 patch it runs great. Also the 3dfx version looks good compared to the normal version. And you do not need any tweaks.
